Nonsense. There is one small additional step to rebuilding the sleeved heads - using a pair of pliers to pop off the chimney. After that it's just as easy to rebuild. The sleeve has the added bonus of allowing you to easily do single coil builds and vertical coil builds.
Note: Above applies...
These are easily rebuildable. I've rebuilt them both as dual coil and single coil. If you can rebuild a Kanger head, you can rebuild these.
There are three head styles I'm aware of - small slot, large slot, and "carto".
The small slot and large slot have a ceramic cup inside. To take them...
Haven't seen anything mentioned on this yet.
I've had this for a few days and I really like it. It is similar to a Nautilus, but the differences are more than aesthetic. The fit of the base makes taking this apart much easier than a Nautilus. I always feel like I'm one turn from breaking the...
Does anyone know when all the Aspire and Aspire clones were taken down? Just noticed today. Wanted to order more logo/marking-less replacement Nautilus glass and it looks like everything aspire related has been removed - Tanks, heads, replacement glass. I even went into a previous order I had...
So I've been rebuilding these heads for a while now and I've come up with two excellent builds that don't leak or gurgle.
First, getting the chimney off. If you are using authentic Kanger heads, just put the head in an Evod/T3 base (or whatever), put some cloth on the chimney, grab it with...
Hi all,
I couldn't really find much on this outside of the Gotvapes suppliers thread, so I figured I'd share.
I received this saturday and honestly was about to give it an 'Epic Fail' rating and toss it in the drawer. This was strictly because of airflow - I couldn't get any!
But I hated...
Hi All - just an FYI posting. Hope it's useful....
The AFC bases for the mini's are advertised to work with the mini PT3 (new coils), mini PT1 & 2 (old coils). I can definitely say that putting the new base on a mini PT3 will basically get you an Aerotank mini. So if you have mini PT3's...
Oh no!!! Say it isn't so!!! I would hate to think I might be purchasing a clone of a clone and not giving my money to the ORIGINAL cloners who put all their blood, sweat, and tears into making their clone!!!
Whatever. A lot of us have purchased high quality stuff from FT that looks and works...
They just put the black one up at fasttech. $7.40/free shipping. No other colors or heads yet.
Edit: And it looks like madvapes has them back in stock, too.
Sorry. I got mine at Madvapes & I haven't seen another reasonable source. The head rebuild on these is pretty easy so I haven't been looking lately. If anyone has another source, I wouldn't mind picking up some colored ones. All I have is black and stainless.
There is a ceramic cup in both the single and dual coil heads that I have received (ordered from Madvapes.) The single coil version has a two short slots for the wick. The dual coil version has those slots, plus two longer slots for the second coil to allow it to sit crosswise below the first...
So I've done a rebuild on these. I didn't even consider doing a dual coil. Just a simple coil with 1mm hollow Ekowool, 32ga Kanthal. 6 wraps with a small paper clip inserted into the Ekowool. Came out at 2.1Ω.
The trick is pulling the bottom out of the sleeve WITHOUT wiggling it. You have...
Looking closely at the knurling on the bottom, the pattern is markedly different from my Tobeco. The Tobeco knurling takes up less of the ring and the criss-cross pattern is larger.
You beat me to editing my post! Was just gonna replace it with "ignore the idiot who's not paying attention...."
Anyway - I'm ordering as well. I think worse case scenario is it's the Tobeco - right? Which would be fine with me...that's the one I have and love.
