    I've had batteries fail but I don't think it's the actual battery in the unit that dies. More often a connection or switch or some other component inside. A box mod can fail in the same way but at least you can replace the actual battery and know if that is the culprit instead of something else.

    Thanks, You'd think all these components come from the same place. There shouldn't be such a disparity in quality. But this supplier is selling stuff made with poor parts or poor construction.     I think that ring really seals it up so no juice can get on top the atomizer. No juice in your mouth. But it also prevents really good wicking IMO.     I've had some clear juices that didn't stay clear in a clearomizer, turned to brown tar by the end. I've also had some colored juices that stayed the same color. So I don't care what color it starts as just as long as it stays the same color at the bottom of a clearo.

    why not get a cheap cigarette sized e-cig and stick a pipe bowl to the end. You won't get any "smoke" out of the bowl but I don't think you'd get that from a quality e-pipe anyway.

    You might want to consider a passthrough also. Volt's is supposed to be pretty good. When you're at home you don't need to worry about batteries with a passthrough, they can even work in the car.
