Burning Taste --POLL-- discussion
I replace the fiber every third day. I have yet to experience the burning taste. I believe that NPerez is correct in that the atty isn't getting the juice correctly from the cart. Either the carts gone dry, or the fiber has been pushed in a bit too far. Just MHO. -

There are a couple california suppliers of these, and a few listed on eBay. The Iolites are the 'upgraded' ones? Not sure, but the going price in dollars is around $250. A bit steep.- KreeL

I totally agree here also. Except for the junk autobatts, I have my first manual batteries still in rotation, and they are holding up well. If I can advise any new 510 owner of just TWO things it would be the cart straw mod, and the all important extra battery. Just three batts make a world of... -

Perhaps for another thread, but I still believe the little panic buying hoax was a ruse perped by some unscrupulous sellers. Not that they necessarily dreamed up the whole ruse, but I think they helped blow it way out of proportion. Same thing they are doing currently with the e-juice scare... -

Just ordered kit #5 today
Very nice! I now have the Dura-C, 2 Yetis, and 6 VaporGuys 510s. I think I've gone a little overboard, but I share with a blond wife who can break stuff by simply looking at it. :) -

Hmmm....some suppliers pre-charge but don't condition the batts. Cigtechs state their 510s are charged to 40% (likely apx. 2-3 hrs.). If it were me, I would charge The Widow's an additional 4 or 5 hrs. - vape for 20 mins. and then charge 1 more. That's just MHO.:) EDIT - and welcome to the... -

I performed the experiment several months ago. My conditioned batts are outlasting my non-conditioned ones by nearly double. Note how long his batts are lasting now. Mine are still going 3.5 hours on a charge. Follow the instructions. Number ONE rule. -

I used to share a whole lot of stuff, but I found out that during a hoax we had last month it wasn't a good idea because a lot of people turn into hoarders leaving the rest of us without. After the initial conditioning, green usually means go. The safe side is to recharge them for two hours - even when the light is green. The number one rule is to follow the manufacturers instructions. I've done it both ways, and the ones I conditioned per instructions last almost twice as...- KreeL

510: Scorching Atty
Don't use them in extreme heat (like when it's a hundred degrees outside). Use a good STRONG liquid. Let it cool down after several drags. Use this time to enjoy your favorite beverage. Let go of the button -- seriously. The manual switch is all about control. Some people have none.
