The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

I hadn't thought to share the twisting when mentioning the peterk wrap on a ceramic wick. It just seemed intuitive. That is just the kind of consideration that will make you an excellent supplier Dan! I also agree that cloth defeats the purpose of using ceramic. Any thoughts on how to shock...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Love mine too! I've broken two in two days from dropping my PV. I never have a problem setting them up via peterk method. It takes a little more patience to wind them onto the wick after precoil but as long as you're gentle. I've only got two left from an order of five placed months ago and...

I've searched for this glass wick material in the thread and can't seem to find it. I know it's annoying to repost the link but if you wouldn't mind....

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

I have been brainstorming a similar design. It involves using a nichrome foil as the heating element instead of the thicker ribbon/wire. Starting with an alumina tube with as thin a tube wall as possible to lessen the heat sink, a thin film of nichrome foil could then be adhered(heat resistant...

I have some of this left if someone thinks they can use it for something. It doesn't wick on its own though. I was using it as a scubaQ sheath around ssmesh and it worked at least as well as pyrex. Aluminum Oxide Ceramic Tube, Opaque White, 1/8" OD, 0.063" ID, 12" Length: Amazon.com: Industrial...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Thought I'd put in a small review of the 3/32 wick. Keep in mind that i vape all vg mixes and that my resistance/voltage usually puts me at about 6 watts before I find the vapor loses flavor and starts to taste off(regardless of wicking material). I did a quick torch of the fc2000 3/32 and...

Oh I see, I was picturing a center tube for a steel rod support. The tubes for wicking slipped right by me but i'm on the same page now. The process is rather intense, I agree. I may have tried it if I owned a kiln though....

We discussed that exact article acouple of months ago bap  I was suggesting that a gelatin could be used in place of the mystery gel. Boden, I would think a balsa rod may be easier to mold with. Its rigid enough to hold form and it could be sintered off easily. Glad to see the thread...

Does anyone use Xylitol as a sweetener?

Yeah thats how i personally do it. It will be super sweet but thats why you should add per drop. The sweeteners they sell for eliquids are also super sweet and you really only need to add one drop per 5 ml in my experience. The amount of xylitol in the drop is not enough to be beneficial to oral...

Does anyone use Xylitol as a sweetener?

I would also like to note that xylitol comes from many sources. It is derived from most plant and fruit material. To my knowledge, it is best to source from birch which is GMO free. Other xylitol is sourced from corn and may contain GMO's, which is not something anyone should ingest.:2c:

Does anyone use Xylitol as a sweetener?

This seems like a triple punch sweetener. From all research done, I have found no adverse effects of xylitol on people other than the same digestive issues that any sugar alcohol would have. I believe glycerine (VG) is a sugar alcohol, so if you can handle it then xylitol will be fine. You might...

Has anyone tried flavors from "Nature's Flavors"

Keep in mind that their shipping times are longer because they make flavors to order. I personally love this about them. For those who like the honey but wish for something a tad less potent, you may want to try their white chocolate. It goes a long way and tastes alot like honey without the...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Thanks for the reply Mpires~ This material is definitely intriguing. I mainly vape using ss mesh although I have begun to use ceramic wicking. I like the ability to shape this material easily given that I also use phoenix rba's to vape my diy recipes before committing them to use in my genesis...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

I'm curious as to whether or not it could be cleaned with a torch or by boiling. I'll stay tuned. Here's a link for anyone curious. http://www.epa.gov/ttnchie1/ap42/ch11/final/c11s22.pdf Does it wick well enough? It looks like you may be tilting but I wouldn't know by the video if that is necessary.
