The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

for those across the pond...OR did someone say coop? Other than these folks, I only found asian suppliers for our size requirements. It might be a waste of time but i'm looking for a wick with known material. Anyways, here's a link Other Porous Ceramic Products

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Has anyone tried it with the ribbon Nichrome yet? More surface thermal bridge might dry out the wick faster but if not I'd think you could use less volt/watt. DizzGrizz- nice idea using wetstone. I'm a chef and use these things to sharpen my tools all the time. I know that they, especially the...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Ok, heres a link. They don't mention quantities but explain that the pore size and ratio can be altered by different temps and water volume. I understood it as- when the ice forms, it creates the pore and when you dry the cast the pore remains because of the gelatin. Obviously more research...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

High porosity ceramics can be made at home with gelatin and a freezer. The hard part is sintering the cast once its dried. That takes a kiln. Thought I'd share if it becomes popular to use porous ceramic wicks and we run the world dry of air stones :pervy:

Glass Drip Tips and Charms for E-cigarettes.

Thanx for the info Teena! I have an idea in mind. I can imagine you are busy with custom work but would love to pitch it to you if you have time. The outside color and design would be like any other custom order. I'm definitely ordering something with the Triton. I have an idea for the inner...

Does the Vapor Dissapate or Remain in the Air ? How about Smell ?

Mainly the social aspect but I do like to be conscious of how others are reacting to it. I've been in restaurants while someone is vaping and I find it presumptive of them to think noone would mind (they may have asked permission though). I personally will ask the establishment if I may vape...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

:2c: here If ceramic is ever noticed to be a distracting heat sink then maybe fritted glass may be the answer? I know that people have used it in other inhaled uses...;) http://www.adamschittenden.com/frit_info.html

Does the Vapor Dissapate or Remain in the Air ? How about Smell ?

LMFAO! I was outside a bar in the smoking area with cig smokers and someone asked me for a pull. Assuming that I knew what he meant, I said " Sorry this isn't a pipe..." He replied "Ohhh, Is that what smells like cotton candy?" hehehe

    The ceramic coated Coil

I agree with Ulmer- you should stick with the pyro-paint (95% alumina). It is the safest of their products from the little research I've done. Alumina IS thermally conductive so there is no sense in using the epoxy for that reason. Its common to associate ceramic with heat insulation though...

    porous ceramic testing.

I've heard that porous ceramic works well but for a limited amount of time. My theory on this is that it clogs with whatever the "gunk"(that collects on coils) is. Porous ceramic is often used as a microbial filter and once filled I'm not certain it can be repurposed. I'm just free thinking...

    Best Vaping tool?

Me too!- but they aren't very pocket freindly  I have pushed several needles right through the silicone cap. At home they are irreplaceable. Sooo much easier than syringes. Dental picks are good for cleaning and rba setups. They are also stronger than toothpix for carto ends and whatnot.
