Hey 52, the coil looked fine, but I think it´s just too spaced for it´s size or maybe too thin or a combination of both. It´s a 28GA wire IIRC, and maybe a 26GA wire would have made a difference. My guess is that the wide gaps between the wraps together with the thin wire may produce not enough... -

You´re absolutely right, it would probably avoid lots of confusion if everyone would state which version of the doggy is talked about. AFAIk the only difference between the two versions is the airhole diameter. -

FWIW, I get great results and flavor with very simple 316 SS 28GA contact coils, 3 mm ID, just 5-6 warps resulting in around 0.8 ohms, scottish roll wicking, running with 13 watts on a istick pico. Vaping mostly NET fluids in them, perfect little tobacco yummy. -

So the air diffuser is easy to remove (threaded?) and reassemble? I got mine yesterday from France, did a quick build this morning using the supplied 1 Ohm coil and cotton, absolutely no problems, very easy to do. Looks great IMHO on the Pico 25: First impressions are good, super quiet... -

I´m not sure what km3 is (Kayfun Mini 3 ?) but the build deck of the doggy is NOT as small as it may seem, I own a kayfun5 and a kayfun prime clone and the build decks of those are significantly smaller and it´s much more troublesome to get your wire fixed in those than in the doggy - at least... -

Since the chamber is significantly raised on the ARES the way the warm vape has to take (and can cool down) is shorter than on other atomizers I guess. So if you´re vaping a lot the small drip tip will get hot quickly. I would recommend to switch to a larger mouth piece like this: $2.06... -

Wow, thats bad! Are you saying you can´t close the top cap completely and it will stay this way with a bit of the silicone seal squeezed in the top cap? I would not consider this a minor issue... at ALL! Very worrying...hmmm. K. -

The frosted are PMMA, der clear polycarbonate. I have both and prefer PMMA - they should also be safe agains "tank cracker" liquids. -

Hmmm.. Maybe you have the SJMY variant of the doggy? This needs different tanks afaik. Or you got a lemon since all the reviews are good... K. -

Thank you all. In fact I always "peel off" the two surface layers of my cotton pads so that can´t be the culprit. I also wick exactly the way you described @IDJoel but maybe I will need to take a bit less cotton next time. I´m not sure if it´s useful (seen that on some of the YT tutorials) to...- Kusie
