I was like that too, until I lost a bottler of butterscotch and when I found and vaped it after a nice long steep, I couldn't believe the difference. Now I order ahead of time.
Most of them are no name, so thats the treatment they will be getting. But the wagnerware one isn't as rusted and I dont want to risk it since it matches the rest of the set I've been building. That one I scrubbed with brillo, oiled up, and it is baking as we speak.

They are really not as effective as one might think/hope. They just require less supervision than hand made. I've been looking at the kitchen aid ones, but I have trouble justifying the expense. I got the ice cream maker at a garage sale for 20 bucks and it is still functional.
