KA1, SS, & N80 can all be dry burned just fine. I doubt nickel is being used so no need to worry about it but you can dry burn that too. -

Cut & roll your cotton in advance if you're using Japanese pads. I've had problems with some juices gunking up my coils within a day, so I was changing my cotton daily & dry burning the foul tasting gunk off. -

Coil Society wire serves me just fine. I ordered their N80 ribbon, .3x.1mm, .5x.1mm, 36g, 38g, 40g, etc. Amazing pricing. Ribbon prices make it worth it. What I do is spread my wire out among all 3 sites, coil society, LV & KP. LV for .4x.1mm/.8x.1mm & odd gauge ka1, KP for .6x.1mm & square wires.- Tom Forde

RDA Kennedy 24mm RDA thoughts.
Yeah I measured mine out to be 2.1cm or 21mm in height. But the short cap I've had since my first k24 is a beta cap, prerelease. The drip tip is also significantly shorter going into the cap, it sits flush with the top of the inside of the cap. Maybe it's not the cap, but the dt that's causing... -

Gah I hope not. This is the problem with a lot of B&M's, they'll sell a customer a product the customer knows nothing about. Like if somebody walked into a B&M or even searched online for a cheap authentic mech box, found the cricket & got no explanation on series vs parallel, they're gonna blow... -

I've not made a light box, but a black box. I use it mainly for B&W shots, with a single lamp, a blue CFL bulb. It gives great picture & contrast for black and white shots like this old Tsuka build I have in one of my Kennedy 24's.- Tom Forde

Well it depends on a few things. How clean you keep your coils, sugar content in juice, gunk build up, how often you rewick, what power you run them at, etc. I'll take pics of my coil "graveyard" when I get home tomorrow. Some flashlights are just as good as lamps haha. Main flashlight I use is a Mag-Lite XL50 LED flashlight. When I take the cap off, it acts as a floodlight & is rated at something like 300 lumens. @have2p good looks on this thread. Good job on the aliens too, they look great. One thing one could use instead of paper clips is masking tape. Yeah mine ohm'd out at .07Ω. Just put my first build in my Goon and it's a binary framed staple, 26g frames, under the 44g wrap it goes 26g(5,4,5,4,4,5,4,5)26g. It ohm'd out post coloring at .06Ω so I'm using it on my DNA 200 Rolo lol. I figure why not test the quality with a super low build...- Tom Forde
