Don't use too much light. Fresh builds in direct sunlight are extremely shiny and reflective. For example: Cleaned fresh coils in the SOISZ24. Again. Yeah the cat track is going to curl no matter what when you hammer it. Any strand of wire you flatten to its maximum is going to curl up. Try making an arched Clapton with 30g, it's not quite the same process as a cat track, but they look & vape great. There's a process to pinching the wrap...- Tom Forde

No doubt. I see it, next coil, take a pic before ya color it. I'd say try out framing some ribbon between 28g. .3 or .4 is ideal but .5 will work. A 5 wrap on a 3mm would ohm out to around .2-.25~ single coil with 4ply ribbon.- Tom Forde

Negative contact on this mod is at the top. Not the bottom. And the whole bottom of the threading where the contact threads in has an insulation circle around it. You can see it in the first picture with the atty on its side. -

Actually, 28g (.321mm) is closer to .3x.1mm & 26g (.405mm) is closer to .4x.1mm. If you use 26g frames & 4x .4mm cores, it's almost the same as a 3 core 26g in width theoretically. I do that with a piece of tape in the middle. Once I reach the tape I stop the wrap temporarily, pinch & slide the tape down the 3 cores towards the swivel but not completely at the end of the wire, I'll slide it down 3/4 of the way, then to the end. KP I order square wire & 48g & up from, LV I get odd gauge kanthal & .4x.1mm/.8x.1mm ribbon, and coil society everything else. Their prices compared to KP & LV are just much better.
