Double post I know, but I learned how to Tsuka. Even after my first attempt gashed up my thumb and took a nice chunk with it on my first attempt o_O 5x .5x.1mm/24g/5x .5x.1mm wrapped in a .5x.1mm Tsuka. I did 24g alien specs (3 core 24 ~ 1.533mm) on this coil because I originally planned on...

Laser Cat? That sounds awesome. I need to see that. The image I have in my head is a cat in space shooting lasers from its eyeballs haha

Ah so hand wrapped pics today... 26g/.4x.1mm/44g framed staple with a hand wrapped 30g Prometheus wrap on top: one damn little screw up in the whole wrap. Next: 3 core 26g alien with a 3x38g/40g fused Clapton wrap. Hand wrapped the alien bc the thin fused Clapton was so springy & felt like it...

@SLIPPY_EEL its not really a build I'm gonna vape on, more to try to win myself a goon atty. Most of the other comp entries IMO don't top what's going on in my head with this build, I just have to get it down right. And as for the parallel kumi, I don't think it's gonna be a mess if I use say...

I'm laying down the groundwork for the alien staggerton right now with some help @f4rr3ll on IG gave me. Won't say specs right now but I have the spaced ribbon alien for the middle done so far. Trying to figure out if I even want to use any round wire at all besides the alien wraps. I may take...

I'm thinking more of something practical. Goon build off on IG, I just want to win. Like that's impractical. Gah. I have ideas but they ain't easy. E.g; alien staggerton, have specs on what to use but it ain't easy to say the least. That para to a braid I have no clue. I gotta figure this out

    I've already done that. I've made a .4x.4mm square using .2x.2, a 3 core, laid out .6x.2mm & a .4x.2mm. .6x.2mm - 3 core square, wrapped in 44g - .05mm, so really .7x.3mm .4x.4 square using 4 strand .2x.2. Wrapped in 44g so it's really .5x.5mm. I need advice on something that would straight...

    RDA Dotmod Petri v2

They're meant to be thumb screws, then tightened down with a Phillips head..meant to hold your first coil in place while installing a second. That was a big thing with the v1, installing coils into the post holes wasn't the easiest because they would slip out of place when going to install your...

So question for everyone here; What's the most difficult coil you've built? Like complex, difficult, hardest, etc? What wraps give you the most trouble is basically what I'm asking. I'm trying to challenge myself and I need something new to make.

    RDA Dotmod Petri v2

Dotmod still has your back if anything goes wrong. I know people who've gotten bad v1.5's (made in USA) & dotmod has replaced their decks for no charge. My concern is the screws. They're quite easy to strip if you don't have the right size Phillips (0 or 00). Good thing is the Allen key provided...

Agreed. I like their products, but they should lower prices. I believe localvape, dotmod, flawless, & anarchist all work together pretty much. Release different products but very similar things about them. For example the DT on the tug v3 is identical to a standard wide bore Petri DT.

Kinda bothers me. They should have lowered the price more than $10 since MFG cost went down (I'm assuming). Besides, dotmod has a 100% mark up for retail as is, so stores get Petri mod's for $100~ & atties for $45, caps for $12, etc.

Need help on Clapton Coil Build

26g N80 or 24g KA1/N80 core, 32g or 34g wrap (N80/KA1, doesn't matter really). If you're not working with a swivel holding the wire tight from the drill to swivel, I recommend cutting about 5' of 32g/34g off the spool & holding it directly against the core wire with your thumb and index finger...

Ever think about using swivels? It makes life (and building) a lot easier. Pick up some 26g N80. Quick ramp time & not too low ohm per inch so you can make more complex coils with less ramp time.

I saw the deck, was kind of unimpressed. I was expecting a little bit more I guess. I think I'm gonna go get a Goon & SOISZ24 after I sell some of my stuff. Maybe I'll let my Kennedy 24 with beta shorty cap go...hm..

Try going higher gauge on the wrap, I find 24/28g too dense, it comes out to ~.833mm which is pretty thick, with 28g being around .310mm & 24g having .511 diameters. Here's some wireporn, Ima call it Saw Square Sine, based off basic sound waves. It's a square alien over a 28/.4x.1/44g framed...
