I think buildmode or art of vaping has a basic vertebraid video on YT. But it's not that hard to learn, a lot of repetitiveness to it. I don't use any special technique when wrapping wire holding the spools. I just hold them very lightly so they spin freely, thumb on one side & usually my middle finger on the other side. How do you get rid of the bend in fused clapton without breaking the outter wire ?
Or just untwist it with nylon pliers as you wrap it. Whenever I'm coiling up a build whether it be fused claps or tricore aliens they usually have multiple twists in the wire (not the cores bunching up, but the wires kind of all moving with each other at the same time). Actually in the 25mm Ruby 2, the top contact is quite easy to remove and clean. You just need a 3/32nd's size Allen key to remove the posi contact and the negative post screw. As @Verb said there is definitely less pressure on the battery inside because of the contacts. It wouldn't be fair for... -

Wait a minute are you talking about the wraps on the cores coming misaligned? Or the actual coil going out of shape? Cause if it's the latter, cut longer leads and clamp down hard so you have some room for adjustments. SS isn't springy link nich or kanthal, it's softer, so it bends easier...- Tom Forde
