Honestly for quad coils, I prefer a 3 post, such as a Kennedy 24, with decent sized post holes. Na naw man, 3x twisted wires, twist together the opposite way til it forms an interlocking look. It shouldn't look loose, but super tight. Even with 2x twisted interlocking.- Tom Forde

What Is Your "Go To" Build?
Depends on the atty. for my Kennedy 24's it's usually a 28g/4 ply .4x.1mm/40g frample or framed staple alien. Either or, 6 wraps 3mm. Petri gets 3 core 28g aliens 5 wraps 3mm. Twisted Messes gets anything I throw in it mostly due to size of post holes. Right now it's a 28/6ply/36g framed...- Tom Forde

Yeah man. I went thru 2 Sapors in a week and a half. Both insulator problems. Not leaking, but the centerpin's insulator melted and got pushed in on both so I couldn't use on hybrid mods. The centerpost came up about a 1-2mm or so and when I pushed it back down there was an audible click noise... -

That would be your centerpin's insulator. It's the way the Sapor is made. I've tried pulling out the center post T block but failed. It's in there strangely & moves up and down with the centerpin itself. Take out your build, turn the Sapor upside down and push the posts down against a hard... -

What kind of wire are you using? With Non-TC wires like N80 & Kanthal it's fine. With Ni200 & Ti I build spaced coils. But, yeah you can build a vertical contact coil. Speaking of ribbon stitched aliens, you can use a .3x.1mm ribbon with a 26g core since 26g has a diameter of .405mm. I'd go so far to say you could try out .4x.1mm but that'd be cutting it close. I'd go with a 24g decored for a .4 ribbon.- Tom Forde
