Honestly, I can tell you that you're better off spending the money and getting a Kennedy 24. It'll last you a while longer and you get great service in case anything goes wrong, which it most likely won't. I've heard of tsunami's leaking vs Kennedy's. The deck on a Kennedy is designed to work...
So. Another thread that's dying. Is it only about the Kennedy 24 or can we talk about the 25mm & Trickster 24/25mm as well?
I must admit, I am absolutely in love with my Trickster 25 & Roundhouse 2 25mm mod...

Hey guys, so I know it's been a while since I've posted here but I'm back!
I got a nice start to my building here and want to continue that trend of posting up some awesome builds as well as helping out aspiring builders by any means necessary as I've tried to do in the past.
So to kick things...
Brov. Dat HK mod tho...... so sexy. Are those sleeves for the 24 or the 25? If they're for the 25, can you make them in SS or Ti? Also. I have some drawn out to account for the taper of the chubby caps for the 25 if you're interested in making something different.
Screaming Demon 25 top...
Owl that's a nice clean helix ya got going on there! I've been in mass production mode lately, I have a few larger orders to fill so it's primarily B-stock blem coils for me right meow. But I did find some interlocks that have been sitting on a swivel in stick form for a while now.
And they...
I think that's happening because of the number of wraps you're using. I NEVER get spitback from staples or stagger fuses unless they're huge in gauges or they have too many wraps. Too much coil requires too much power leading to too much ramp time. Try making out some 5-6 wrap staples, say, 6-8x...
That is clean AF! You got staggering down very quickly. Keep at it brotha, try skip stagger patterns & ribbon packs as frames, etc. just different things to mix it up.
I finally got crimping gears! Stoked, my buddy gave them to me yesterday, however I'm still mass producing coils right meow so...
Yeah half staggering isn't hard, you just line everything up and make sure the wraps are perpendicular to the core wire and spin the drill. Staggering gets hard however when you incorporate skip staggers and full frame SSFC's that don't want to cooperate with you. Try using some 28g with .3r...
You're getting good at staggering now. Which is one of the most tedious parts about building. Try to make some clean skip staggers with 2 frames and normal ssfc's. It pays off once you get good at them

Nice build Whiteowl, I see you're practicing your staggering! What gauges did you use on the Petri RTA?
I've been trying new things also.
That all just came in so I made this:
Its a 42/42g staggerton. 8ply .3 (4x ka1, 4x n80 ribbon) with 28gSS frames. Dual spool method for the win.

You can use .4 with 28g. I have 500' of .3&.4 Ka1&N80 each (2000' total) coming to me from Pure Atomist. I'm not fully sponsored by them, I'm part of their affiliate program as of last week. Really stoked about it too.
Try this out: 6x.4/36g central spaced clap (use 2 piece of 36g or a piece of...
Yeah I want it for 24mm as well. But that would mean buying another deck lol. I may just get a Trickster to see what the difference is & to see if the deck is wider due to the cap reaching all the way to the bottom. Maybe Kennedy was able to increase the diameter of the inner deck to 23mm with a...
Yeah 26/8ply .4 will ohm out low. I'd advise using ka1 ribbon or a mix of ka1 ribbon & a couple ply n80 ribbon. Try with 28g & .3r. It might be harder but requires way less power. Also, less ribbon in the middle, like 6ply. My 8ply .3/38gN80/4ply .3n/28gSS/40gSS fused staggerton (12 ply total)...
Ah that makes sense then. If you have an authentic deck definitely go for the grizzly sleeve & chubby cap combo. It's $35 if you choose stainless for the sleeve and delrin for the cap.
I have been thinking about getting some tube stock, 25mm OD, 3mm thick for the Kennedy 25 to accept chubby...
Whiteowl - don't get stuck in the alien coil mode. Branch out and start making some stagger fuses & staple stagger fuses & staggertons. Might as well branch out and get the harder stuff out of the way :)
Definitely not what I would call hard^ just a 40/40 enigma

Yep seems like you got it. I don't like doing it with 36g too much because sometimes it can be too thick/won't want to move on the core much. If that happens, loosen it up by holding the end of it and revving the drill in reverse until it starts to back up on itself and you're able to move it...
