Easiest IMO & the first alien I got down properly was a 2x24g stitched. I forget the wrap gauge but it was a triple 40g stitch. Speed & tension are definitely factors in keeping everything clean. Also holding the spool whatever the comfortable length away from the core(s) is for you. If that's your problem, try working off spool in shorter amounts of wrap wire. I haven't really alien'd anything under 36g N80 in a long time (stiffer than 36gSS), & I hold a lot of tension on my wraps when I alien because I only stretch an 18" decore about arms length which for me is just about...- Tom Forde

Try this: install the coils using the N80 from temco and scrub the deck down with some dish soap mixed with water and a toothbrush. I usually start out with hot water then I'll scrub and rinse, then warm water, cool water, then only cold water. Scrubbing down the coils and rinsing them each...- Tom Forde

A lot of parallel boxes have MOSFET regulated switches. Any box with a detonator style switch is most likely a MOSFET box. I prefer completely unregulated, like the Dos Equis v2 collection in the picture I posted up. Also like the Castigador/Tirador/Munequita boxes by EVE. See if you can find...- Tom Forde

Ya I tried out with 27g at first, that was a bust. The wrap came out too flat so I tried again with 26g & it worked out. If you're gonna try it, make sure you keep very even tension on the cores so they don't bunch up in the middle. I used 2 small magnets to keep the wires parallel. Worked out...- Tom Forde
