    Yea i cut it so it just makes contact with the deck, it's a tight fit but it works well. And yea I found it not worth it going that high up in watts. Not enough airflow.

    Yea that makes sense. I should probably lift it up a bit next time I try it. It's ekowool wrapped stainless steel wire rope Stainless Steel Cable Wick (7x19) | Lightning Vapes wrapped with 28g kanthal, 4 wraps now I had to increase the ohm to 0.9 (which is about 20w) to stop it from leaking.

    Post pictures of your working wick and coil setup

    Always had wicking problems with my kayfun no matter what I tried, untill today when I decided to try my favorite genesis setup on my kayfun. Ekowool wrapped stainless steel wire rope. Works perfect. Been chain vaping it all day trying to get even a hint of dry burn, just wouldn't happen.

    My goto genesis build is a kraken with ekowool wrapped stainless steel wire rope. The ekowool insulates the stainless steel wire rope so that prevents hotspots. You also don't get the metallic taste. I would defiantly recommend it.

    Try taping the ends of the silica and ekowool before working with it, then you can cut it clean once your done.     Does the coil hotspot when their is no wick? I usually check first for hotspots before putting in the mesh. Then pulse it with the mesh in till the hotspots go away. Pics of the setup would be nice to further diagnose.

    Kraken with ekowool wrapped ss wire rope at around 0.3ohm on a copper stingray. Very satisfying vapor and flavor, no wicking problems and you never have to worry about the wick burning out.

    I don't oxidize my ropes so I can't say. But they will last me till it frays. That one in the pic has been going on since I started using it 2 months ago. I had another one that was bigger diameter and it lasted me like 2 weeks before I frayed it doing a build.
