I thought the authentic plume veil used PEEK insulators, which has twice the melting point of Delrin. I'm surprised you melted that. What build were you running? Was the insinuator white or tan?
Sorry I can't help, just a bit curious as I've melted a few Delrin insulators and have recently...
Sounds like you have hotspots. You should test fire it before you put the wick in to make sure your coils glow evenly. It should slightly start to glow from the center of the coil outwards.

This is a bit extreme but not like this
All the SQ-uape Reloaded tanks on fasttech are back ordered. My advise would be to get something in stock. or be prepared to wait. If your gonna order from fasttech be prepared to wait also shipping can be up to 4 weeks or longer.
If your going into rebuildables you should really learn to make...
I mainly wanted one cause I think it looked cool. And I like the magnetic back and floating 510 pin and all the info the screen gives you. Only thing I don't like is that it is a clone, non upgradeable and probably sketchy warranty.
The only other one with a magnetic back is the Sigelei 100w...
Yea i cut it so it just makes contact with the deck, it's a tight fit but it works well.
And yea I found it not worth it going that high up in watts. Not enough airflow.
Yea that makes sense. I should probably lift it up a bit next time I try it. It's ekowool wrapped stainless steel wire rope Stainless Steel Cable Wick (7x19) | Lightning Vapes wrapped with 28g kanthal, 4 wraps now I had to increase the ohm to 0.9 (which is about 20w) to stop it from leaking.
Best wicking I got out of my kayfun was with ekowool wrapped stainless steel wire rope. I got it down to .4ohms (about 40w on a fresh charge) running and chain vaped it without any wicking issues. You won't ever have to worry about the wick burning out also. Only problem I ran into was the unit...
Hi, I was interested in buying the GI2 Clone from either Psmoke or Limwell. I was wondering if their was any owners out their that can provide some feedback. I was looking at mainly bugs, problems. And if it came with an adjustable 510 connection.
Always had wicking problems with my kayfun no matter what I tried, untill today when I decided to try my favorite genesis setup on my kayfun.
Ekowool wrapped stainless steel wire rope. Works perfect. Been chain vaping it all day trying to get even a hint of dry burn, just wouldn't happen.
The kraken matches all your criteria's. Except it only holds 2.5ml. You can run it dual or single coil. Has adjustable airflow, I find wide open it is fully adequate. I run it with ekowool wrapped stainless steel wire rope at .5ohm but I can go all the way down to .3ohm without any wicking...
My goto genesis build is a kraken with ekowool wrapped stainless steel wire rope. The ekowool insulates the stainless steel wire rope so that prevents hotspots. You also don't get the metallic taste. I would defiantly recommend it.
Try taping the ends of the silica and ekowool before working with it, then you can cut it clean once your done. I tried once threading 3mm ekowool through an hciar kraken and I never got it to work either. If you want ultimate kraken setup I would recommend Ekowool wrapped stainless steel wire...
Does the coil hotspot when their is no wick? I usually check first for hotspots before putting in the mesh. Then pulse it with the mesh in till the hotspots go away.
Pics of the setup would be nice to further diagnose.
Kraken with ekowool wrapped ss wire rope at around 0.3ohm on a copper stingray.
Very satisfying vapor and flavor, no wicking problems and you never have to worry about the wick burning out.
I don't oxidize my ropes so I can't say. But they will last me till it frays. That one in the pic has been going on since I started using it 2 months ago. I had another one that was bigger diameter and it lasted me like 2 weeks before I frayed it doing a build.
I've never heard of anyone using silica but ekowool is 95-98% Pure Silica, must be just a brand name of it. If you can push the wire rope into the silica I don't see why not, I never worked with silica, but with ekowook it is very hard to push the wire in. I widen the hole with a good sized...
