Hi potts_d,
The TA and Ethyl Maltol will infuse the PG or PGA. Much faster with the PGA however it will also infuse into the PG when the PG is warmed. In the recipe that I listed, that can be used as-is as a flavoring to your e-liquids, it's not overly strong however I would still suggest to...
I would suggest more PGA to the dilution if you're using the 1.5ml vial.
Here's the recipe that I've used for years with Tobacco Absolute. Scubabatdan posted this quite a long time ago and it's still a favorite of mine:
2 drops Tobacco Absolute
10ml PGA
1/4 tsp Ethyl Maltol
As you can see...
Hi redtailgal -
As for good flavors to get you close to the taste of an analog, Flavour Art's tobacco line is fairly extensive and they've put a lot of effort into making flavors that do exactly what you want. Latakia and Cuban Supreme are both quite "smokey" in their taste. Perique Black is...
The Flavor Apprentice Cotton Candy is Ethyl Maltol at 10% in PG. It's very mild but when used can give a nice spun sugar type flavoring (albeit mild). It's a good additive to round out sharp flavors and make them a little smoother, especially tobaccos, but I have used it in other flavors with...
I like to think of DIY e-liquid in the same light as cooking. You can follow a recipe, and it may be to your liking or it may not. Or you can travel off the path a bit and come up with something you can be proud of and call your own.
My first mixture wasn't great, but it was vapable. I made...
Key Lime Pie
4ml TFA Key Lime
1ml TFA Cheesecake
5ml TFA Cheesecake with Graham Cracker Crust
Add 20% of the above flavoring blend to your e-liquid to make a wonderful Key Lime Pie flavored juice. I use 15% VG in my mixtures. If you prefer more VG in your mixtures, you may require more...
Hi Chani,
I started out with an analog sized ecig as well and it was good enough to get me off of cigs. I vape on a eGo model now, which is a little larger. You'll find out what works best for you as you vape, the only way to find out is to try. Best of luck and welcome :)
Some of this may be needing to let the juice steep a bit. A lot of my mixtures don't taste right for several days. Sweetness should be an immediate result though. If a mixture is lacking sweetness in a juice, I would for sure recommend TFA Sweetener and possibly Cotton Candy, depending on the...
Hey stevenejb,
What percentages of these flavors are you using in your mixes? If you wouldn't mind posting your entire recipe so that we can take a look. A lot of flavors tend to taste bad when they are used in too high of a percentage in your mixtures. Is your final mixture looking to be a...
That would be the best way IMO. What do you plan on using your nic levels and flavor % as? That could be a determining factor in if you choose 100% PG Flavor-It-Yourself, or 100% VG.
I've heard a lot of good reviews about TFA's Popcorn flavoring, so I tried my hand at it. It came out great! None of the flavorings are overpowering and you get a nice vanilla/maple/popcorn flavor.
Maple Vanilla Popcorn Ball
1ml TFA French Vanilla Deluxe
1ml TFA Bavarian Cream
0.5ml TFA...
I'm a fan of the FA Bavarian Cream flavor, think the vanilla cream filling in those donuts and such, it's very good but takes a good bit to get a nice creamy vanilla. That combined with some of the other vanillas like French Vanilla Deluxe would make for a good vanilla vape IMO.
This mixture is better the days after it is made, but is still quite good on the first day. The tobacco is very subtle and the flavor is fairly sweet. It's something that I can vape all day long.
