    Nope. The SP2 and Thermo don't get attached to each other. SP2 and Thermo are 2 separate size hollow tubes. When you place the end caps on the SP2 with a 3.7 battery you have a 3.7v mod. When you place the end caps on the Thermo with 2 3v batteries inside, you have a 6v mod.

    It's a lovely blue and yes, classy looking, and the metallic look is actually the shiny vinyl of the skin. As to your atty end not screwing in properly...I had that problem for some reason and when I took out the battery, the washer and brass pin came loose. Make sure that they are seated...

    I was prepared to buy the end caps too and I do feel fortunate. Even adding them in, at $17.00, shipping included, it's still a great deal. lol! I actually will re the carto and the TC! :)
