My If the tube is stamped with the number it will be EXTREMELY difficult, if not impossible, to polish out. If the end caps are nickel plated and scratched you'll have to have them re-plated or remove the plating entirely. Bottom line, in my opinion, it's a mess...... I wish I could... -

You bet.....someone uses pliers and hacks it up or takes apart to clean and loses a part so they replace it with a new one. -

Until he gets around to making some, get old broken brass ones and salvage the parts....the locking rings are interchangeable. -

I like the slightly domed look and feel as well....with a satin edge to give it some depth and adding a salvaged brass locking ring from an old switch for the 2 tone look. The thickness of the SS model gives us a lot of options to customize. -
where can i buy 1 earth magnet??
One note of caution....make sure you have the polarity lined up before you epoxy the magnet. You don't want to install it and then realize it's repelling. It's a mess to correct.- Para

Based on the picture Bruce has online, it appears as though the new ones ARE adjustable. Here's a couple of the old style to compare.....looks like it to me. We'll know for sure when they arrive. -

You're making a Fistpack and the tutorial is online (Google search). It might be easier to just do that instead of trying to modify a mod that's designed for a pot. Fistpack is a GREAT mod and perfect for what you want to do.- Para

Polishing GG's
Never polish over the engravings; protect them and then polish. I can't say it strongly enough....learn about buffs, rouge, AND TECHNIQUES before polishing your GGTS. There are a lot of GGTS's out there that have been abused by enthusiastic owners. Please be careful..... -

Me either; in fact magnets have some advantages over springs; but I like both so it's good to have the option. The new SS button works really well with a 2 magnet setup. The throw is the same and has good resistance. -
