    Removing scratches from ss

Use light pressure and the finest grit emory paper you can find, to get rid of the scratches. Then, using a polishing buff on a Dremel, bring it to a mirror finish. I use, in this order: Tripoli Yellow Blue for the final polish.

UFS AVS AFS ODY I need help

Here's what the UFS adapter looks like. Some guy from Europe posted a msg that he was having some made so he took orders. It works great; just a bit rough in original form and takes some buffing to smooth it out. I'm not sure who or where to get one now; maybe someone who knows more can help...

    Worries?

Looks like a great idea to me I'd mod a brass screw and see if the performance changes with it.

    Atomizer Help....Por Favor!!!

Try their .... ugly black/white LR 801's.... They might look awful but work really, really well. I was impressed.

Best scisors for cutting wick and wire.

Shooting the wires is an excellent method, but I use BIG wires so I have to break out the artillery..... If it were any larger it would have it's own zip code.

    New Meter Model

The box is by Hammond; pretty sure they have a world wide distribution. If you go to their website, they have links to their distributors. The dimensions are 1.38 X 1.38 X 0.59" Hammond makes really nice boxes; they hold up well and are easy to work

    Opinions needed regarding mods

It would be a smart move....imo. I love the AVS; always have and always will. It might not be the latest and greatest and have the features of the newer models, but it has style and character. It's a fantastic feeder and looks awesome. In fact, my favorite is an AVS w/901. I know this; it...

    Who uses xc-116 ceramic wick?

Rick, I uploaded the PDF that came with the 116 on another thread in case anyone wants to have a copy. Attached might be the same doc....see below.... What works for me is to fire the 116 with a torch really well. Mod the ceramic so there's no "abuse" from the knurled ring or the...

    Who uses xc-116 ceramic wick?

Poppa, I feel badly your experience was not good; stopping was a wise decision for you. But, other people have had experiences that are quite different than yours. I am all for you and anyone else sharing their experience, but it seemed like you discounted anyone who had success with 116. If...

    Who uses xc-116 ceramic wick?

Poppa, I am well aware of your experience; you've shared it many times, but that wasn't my question. Thanks

    Who uses xc-116 ceramic wick?

Poppa, Thanks for the info, but I have one question for you. You state particles are in the liquid as if it were an absolute fact. I'm curious if you believe everyone has the same experience as yours. Thanks

    Vv (when???)

The problem with no circuit protection is you can push the regulator outside it's specs and fry it, or at least shorten it's life. Replacing one is a no fun job.

Ody - Haven't seen this leak mentioned yet

I haven't had those problems, but would replace the o-ring. When they get a flat spot it can cause intermittent problems. I'd also look to using a .5mm thicker one.

I'm not missing what you are saying at all; I think you are making a big deal out of something that's not a big deal. But, let's say you are right....what you going to do, be the Price Cop? If you are, what limits are you going to place on people who want to sell something?

    Passthru for Odysseus?

I knew, sooner or later, I would bend or break the vertical SS tube so I went at it from another angle. One thing lead to another.....and this is what I ended up doing. It's easy and it works (that's the goal). The vertical wires are solid so they stay how they are moved; the clips make...

I disagree. People know Imeo has nothing to do with the prices on a Buy/Sell Forum. It has no more effect than does someone selling Super Bowl tickets for above the official price.....or the Final Four or a hot concert. If anything it enhances the GG rep for demanding a premium price.
