    It sounds like the OP just want's to lubricate the switch movement which would/should be an external application situation. It lubricates moving parts in electrical components, and no you don't apply it between the electrical connection's, but rather around the periphery of switches, plugs etc...

    Dielectric grease is designed for this sort of use and you can pick it up for a couple bucks at any auto parts store. It helps seal out dust and moisture as well.
