is it a dual or single coil setup? I personally think 75W for 26ga kanthal is a tad too much power. I've only found myself needing to go above 60W with complex wire dual coil builds. Actually prefer to vape at the lowest power setting possible since you conserve juice and battery life.
the browning is most likely caused by caramelization of the sweetener in your eliquid and should be normal.
I would only worry if the vape begins to taste funky or if you see burnt wicking material (black charred cotton / wtv material you're using).
I have to agree that evolve has a way better warranty policy than yihi (usa company vs chinese company). My Q class broke 2 weeks after receiving it, the mod wouldn't fire. B/c I purchased the Q class at a 20% discount on a website that was based in the US (was living in Shanghai, China at the...
IMHO, if you want to "crank" up the wattage, its best to go with mods that require 2 or more 18650 batteries. 20A seems to be the current norm (you can get 25-30A out of the VTC4s but they are highly counterfeited).
You're LG HG2s are capable of 20A continuous discharge.
Generally you don't want to exceed 60W per cell on a 20A cell. In other words, if your mod only takes a single 18650 and you have an LG HG2 in there you don't want to exceed 60W, if its a dual 18650 mod - 120W, triple 18650 - 180W, so on...
Forum preferred batteries
LG HG2 (brown)
Samsung 30Q (pink)
Samsung 25R (green)
Sony VTC4/5 (green)
With regulated mods, don't exceed 60W per cell on a 20A cell.
Never tried anything other than cotton. And I've only tried 2 brand / types.
Cotton bacon and Organic Koh-Gen-Do
I prefer the KGD. Lasts a bit longer, more consistent on flavor.
with regulated mods there really isn't a set in stone value for how much power the coils can handle. (there is however, battery safety to consider. with a 20A battery, you shouldn't exceed 60W per cell).
With that being said. I'm assuming the tanks you listed all use prebuilt factory coils. I...
I can see how it will work sub 20W per cell as the amperage is (according to google) 6.7A continuous.
But IMHO there are better alternatives out there even for sub 20W vaping, ie: LG HG2 20A 3000mah. You're only sacrificing 13.3% mah (400mah) for a 300% increase in continuous amperage (13.3A).
Just my 2 cents.
For a single battery mod I would recommend the iStick pico. Its very pocketable, fires up to 75W. I've had mine for about 5 months. Its been my daily out and about mod for 2 of the 5months.
For dual battery mod my current go to one is the SX Mini Q class.
When I just started vaping and getting myself into the rebuild world I would ALWAYS rebuild / clean / rewick whenever I put in a new bottle of juice.
9 months later I've gotten lazier. I rewick if its a very different flavor OR if my cotton is beginning to taste funky. The prebuilt claptons I...
resistance does not matter for regulated mods.
Just a general rule of thumb that I like to use..
A single 20A 18650 can usually handle around 60W without any issues. With that RoT in mind you can just double or triple the wattage for dual / triple 18650 mods (ie: 120W, 180W)
when i just started vaping, rebuilding, DIY juicing I was keen on rebuilding / rewicking my RTAs. Would do it every other day.
9 months later I've gotten lazier :)
My coils have been in there for about 2 months. The cotton however, I rewick after about 60ml or when the taste starts to become...
Check out boxer DNA133. But just a personal opinion of mine, I prefer my yihi dual battery mods over their DNA counterparts (Q class, boxer sx350j v2).
The Q is a great mod.
I prefer the onscreen menu and functionality of the yihi chip over the DNA200. Compared to the Sig213, the Q is significantly bigger and heavier if that matters to you. If you're only vaping in power mode then I don't see a reason for the Q unless you just want an excuse...
As mentioned those batteries aren't meant for vaping. I made the mistake of purchasing one before I did some research on battery safety. Try the LG HG2s (brown), Samsung 30Q (pink).
the Q class broke after a week of use.
The mod won't fire. It reads the resistance of the coils correctly. The joules counter keeps increasing but the mod simply won't fire the coils.
The computer doesn't recognize the mod so theres no way for me to update the firmware.
