Despite the issue with the Chicago USPS facility (turns out the package missed a few scans along the way), my Odis Flow is out for delivery right now. After reading HBcorpse's horror story, I'm not getting my hopes up.
I don't know if it's worth the trouble over a couple of bucks. However, I no longer see the point of paying extra for expedited shipping from W&W. There still hasn't been any movement on my package - I certainly hope I didn't win the Chicago USPS lottery twice in a row!
Although I placed my order before you, your shipment was processed through Chicago ISC 12 hours before mine. In fact, mine hasn't even been scanned at the international distribution center. So much for expedited shipping!
Aaaaaaand my Odis Flow package ended up at the Chicago ISC - just my luck! The expected delivery date has already been pushed back by a day to August 3. Based on my previous experience, it'll end up sitting there for a week with no movement.
@HBcorpse how's your tracking looking?
That's the one! I ended up selling it for even less. I think it's definitely the cheap mods that are eating away at the quality market. Not too many people are willing to spend $200-$300 on a mod when there are mods, crappy as they are, that can be had for a tenth of that.
I recently sold an expensive high end squonker for a ridiculously low price after relisting it for a third time, as it wasn't generating any interest at all the first two times I listed it. Since I wasn't using the mod, I thought it would be better to at least get some money for it, rather than...
The Canadian postal service didn't pick the package up until yesterday, so that added on another day. The expedited service is 4 business days - not horrible, considering the shipping charge.
The Odis is expected to be in my mailbox on August 2, so it'll be a tough few days! Fingers crossed that it doesn't end up at the Chicago USPS distribution facility.
After mulling it over, I decided to pull the trigger on the Odis Flow. Can't wait to take it for a spin and see how it compares to the Insider. Since I only have one BB, one of the RTAs will be heading to the classies.
This is one of the main reasons why I've been pulling away from pre-built coils and opting for RTAs. When the dooming (love the term, by the way!) fully kicks in, sourcing pre-built coils will undoubtedly become problematic.
With regards to W&W's packaging, it was a plain padded envelope with...
I ordered the Insider from Wicks & Wires and, other than the package sitting in the Chicago USPS distribution center for a week, the process was problem-free. With regards to the possibility of orders being confiscated, is this something that's been happening recently?
