    :::butting in::: Whoa, your atty gets warm, but not hot to the touch? Mine gets HOT. Like, dry-burn at your own peril hot. I recently purchased another type of bottom coil (g4) that get a bit warm, but that's it.

    What an interesting point. So what could we be doing. Longer draws? I don't think that's it - when watching badkolo's vids, for example, I take much shorter drags than that.

    I've finally had to ditch the sapphires - I don't know why I'm having such trouble with them, but after about a half carto-full of juice, they just get a horrific burnt taste. I've taken them apart, dry-burned, replaced wick by scalping it from Ce2 XL's... and they just get SO hot on my egos...

    Does the metal wick-holder really snap in securely on everyone else's? Mine sits back where it was, but doesn't snap in? I'm wondering if I somehow did something wrong when I took mine apart.

    I had the same problem - it doesn't snap back in, more like sits, firmly enough. I'm almost done w/the sapphire, sorry to say. I've fiddled, tweaked, tried using old CE2 wicks, tried using batting from an old cart twisted into a wick... burnt, burnt, burnt. Not gunked up, burned as heck...

    I'm going to guess you've over-tightened them, twisting the plastic so that the side vent isn't lined up correctly anymore over the atty. Its fairly easy to pull the plastic tube off and put it back on so I'd give that a shot, making sure you've lined up the vent correctly when you do.
