    Good 3A Metal Push Button

Well the Tech doesn't know what he is talking about. Here is a screenshot of a data sheet from that company. They have multiple voltage and amps rating for the switch. You can clearly see as voltage goes down the amp rating rises on the switch...

    Waste of time?

Not going to work. Li Ion battery charging chips sense voltage so unless it is hooked to a battery At the proper voltage it wont put out current. Reason being if li ions drain past a safe low voltage they can go terminal if charged. So if the charger chip senses too low a voltage it wont turn on...

Would you recommend a good soldering iron ?

That iron should do you good variable heat helps a lot for stuff that sinks the heat like the outside of battery side atomizer connectors. Plus the smaller tips tend to require more heat then the bigger ones. Pretty sure i have ate there before but looks like i wont be here long couple months...

    Good 3A Metal Push Button

They are using a flawed logic. IF they are say that a 36volt 2 amps switch doesnt gain amps when using it at a lower voltage then if you switched it around they are saying you could use it @ 72 volts 2 amps or hell just slap 1000 volts 2 amps to that switch and watch it go up in smoke. Heat is...

Is this the holy grail and answer to all my problems?

Yeah that is a Protection circuit made for li ion batteries in series ( 7.4volts). It for sure could be wired into a mod. But it does require 3 connections from the batteries. Positive battery(+7.4volts) and negative battery( -7.4volts) and it requires a connection from where the two batteries...

    Good 3A Metal Push Button

Not really sure how else i can explain it to you. a 36 volt 2 amp switch is the same as a 12 volt 6 amp switch. So it would work fine in a 12 volt 5 amp application. Lets try this. Say you take a fancy power supply unit used for electronic testing and set it to constant current mode. Take a...

Is this the holy grail and answer to all my problems?

Well it is going to be pretty hard to drink wine out of , so very doubtful it is the holy grail. You never posted your problems but for protection this is going to be a expensive option. The chip by itself is almost 4 bucks then you need to add to n channel mosfets at almost 2 bucks a piece...

    Wiring Configuration Questions

Well this is modding so you can do anything you want really. It is just a question if it will work and last. You dont really have to sand a connector to get the solder to stick. Sounds to me like your not getting the connector hot enough for the solder to stick. Because the outside of the...

Looking for a SMALL 2 or 3 amp switch

The VA stands for Volt-Amps. Which can be confusing. Here is a data sheet pic of 3VA 28 volts dc converted to regular amps. So @ 28volts DC it can handle 10mA. Tactile switches are made for logic level signals pretty sure your not going to find one that can handle power. Still Going to recommend...

Looking for a SMALL 2 or 3 amp switch

Your not going to find a switch rated much higher at that size. Really that type of switch should be used on a regulator with a control pin or with a mosfet to be able to handle the amps required to vape. There is quite a bit of mosfet info here in the forums if you dig around a bit. they come...

USB Box mod question. What can I use on it?

Sounds like it is rated for 125 AC current. AC current is quite a bit cooler then DC. But still you should be fine Just off the top of my head i would say it would covert to 24 volt 3 amp DC so still more then enough for vaping. EDIT: Here are specs from a switch rated in AC and DC current 3...
