    Good 3A Metal Push Button

3 amp 12volt rating is more then enough for vaping. You really have to factor in the voltage along with the amp rating. Switches tend to have different voltage ratings. For example a 3 amp 12 volt rated switch can handle 36 watts as where a 3 amp 24 volt rated switch can handle 72 watts. So if...

    texas instruments buck boost

the 4050c is a module almost ready to go just add caps and a resistor to set the voltage. The tps63020 is just a chip your going to have to add quite a bit of stuff to make it work 3 resistors 6 caps and 1 Inductor. It also comes in a 14pin QFN power pad package. Which is pretty small and tough...

    having low voltage output

Sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere in the flash light. A volt meter on the ohms setting could find the weak link. I would suggest you buy your self a meter if you plan on modding. Other then that , you can redo your soldering to see if that will fix it.

    Internal usb charging; best/safest method?

1 amp charge rate for a 18650 is no even close to unsafe, unless you using some knock off batteries. For example a Panasonic 18650 3100mah battery has a max charge rate of 3.1 amps. Although charging at 3.1 amps will effect the life of the battery it is still safe to go that high. For the...

    ? Balancing parallel batts

At one amp it is going to take around 16 hours to charge 4 2600mah 18650's wired in parallel. The way i was talking about doing it, you could have used the charger you posted from hobby king set it to s1 or 4.2 volts and charge at 3 amps or i even higher if you used quality cells to make the...

    Internal usb charging; best/safest method?

#1 either of the chargers you posted will work to charge a 18650. But the max on those are 500mA which means for a 2800mah battery your looking at about 7 to 8 hours to fully charge. Also Question #3 LED should be built into the charger it self not something you want to add afterwards. The...

    ? Balancing parallel batts

That charger would charge batteries in parallel but it wont balance them. Balancing is for battery packs wired in series. So you would have to have at least a 2S battery pack for it to balance after the charge. Really it is a bit overkill to balance a 2S pack. Personally i wouldn't use a...

    Lets generate some input!!

A ego charger could charge it but not threw the RCA without a special made circuit like whats in EGO's. That circuit in a EGO lets the battery charge without pressing the switch to let the juice/current threw. Some people in here have made mods with a Ego connector with just a battery and a...

    Electrical Wiring Questions

A switch Rated @ 12 volts 20 amps would be a DC switch. If it was AC it would be rated to 110 -240 volts. Ground going to the negative side of the battery is correct and the LED should work without frying the battery, it might be a bit dim since it is made to work @ 12 volts not 7.4 or 3.7 . I...

    Wire Gauge

As far as solid or stranded it really doesn't matter at low voltages. High voltages solid wire wire the electrons tend to run only on the outer part of the wire, skipping the inter or core of the wire. Something we dont have to worry about. Stranded wire is alot easier to work with as far as...

    Want to build an IAtty

Might run into Legal trouble doing this. I really don't know if the company that sells these have applied for patents for the devices. I would suggest you R&D a original version, not cool at all to reverse engineer someone else idea and then offer to give it away for free just on moral grounds...

    Switch Question 2a@48VDC

convert 2 amps @ 48 volts to watts. Then you take your working voltage 5 or 6 volts and the watts and convert back to amps. So at 6 volts it would handle around 16 amps.

    Patents - discussion of issues

Yes it would be, You are taking/ infringing someone else's Intellectual property. But if your just making it for yourself you really don't have to worry i doubt they are going to sue you. But if you take your reversed engineered plans of someone else's idea and post them open source. You could...

Here is a picture of a professionaly made 2S pack only difference is this is a 3x3 hybrid config. So it has 3 cells in parallel then another 3 cells in parallel then they are wired in series. Only way i recommend charging like this is if you do what the pros do. They use all matching batteries...
