It might be that mosfet you have. It is rated @ 4.5 volts rds on. A single battery goes from 4.2 volts down to 2.75. Really the 47k shouldnt even be in there the proper way would be to add a TVS diode from gate to source for static discharge protection. The 100Mohms is pretty high. Surprised...
Yeah i can see it now, holding a sign that says " Will Work For Samuel Adams" People going to be coming up to me saying dont you know he has been dead since 1803.
I could get some Cheap beer and Cheep batteries then i would have enough for both, But i cant stand Cheep beer and Hate cheep...
Oh ok , a 14500 then that is even better 6.5 hours is not bad for one of those. You could get a full day for sure outa a panosonic 3100mah 18650. I just about bought a couple of them today but that would cut into my beer money, tough choices beer or batteries.
I cant read your diagram that really light blue color is barely visible on my screen. Not sure where you have the 47k but if it is going from gate to source for a pull down or up resistor you are going to need to go way up. 2Mohms at least. Since your skin is not a great conductor you need a...
Looks good ,
Glad it is working and hitting good. You Running it off a 18650 ? how many Mah? Cant tell for sure in the picture.
My parts shipped today so maybe i will get them Saturday. I am off to do some etching
They usually follow the capacity or MAh rating . 1.5 * C for china made batteries and Korean and Japan made are usually 2 * C so a china made 2600 mah battery would be 1.5 x 2600mA = 3.75 max discharge amps. A Korean or Japan model would be 2 X 2600 = 5.2 amps. Either way a 18650 should be...
They are really small LED's. So i think most folks would say it would be a hassle unless they have worked with small SMD components before. Even then one might just go and buy a battery with the LED color they liked.
You can always run a virtual machine of linux on your Windows installation. Much easier then dual booting. You would need a semi powerful computer with at least a few gigs of ram for it to run smoothly though. Virtual box is free VirtualBox And i would recommend Mint linux to install although...
Your Welcome
That's pretty close to what i was getting for numbers. I did use a 18650 to power mine although i doubt that would effect unloaded voltages. Loaded voltages though it might make a difference.
Finally got paid so i will make a order tonight .. Got some Ti samples today. Just...
I for sure am glad i took the time to learn to etch. Since I taught myself circuit design, I have made my fair share of mistakes. Like jrm850 pointed out he was glad he didn't send his out to a board shop. All the scrape boards i have sitting here i would have spent over a grand sending them out...
Looks good
The caps came out as planned just a bit taller then the inductor on the module and a few hairs shorter then the top of the pot wheel. Let us know how it vapes when you get it hooked up.
I would have to totally agree with that. To me it is all about turning that dial to a voltage , wattage , amperage ( they will all get you to the same end result ) till you hit that spot that makes your taste buds have a orgasm.
Yeah the film only sticks to the toner , basicly sealing it. They say that the etching solution can seep threw just plain toner, causing fishers and microscopic cracks. As my toner cartridge has gotten older i have seen signs of it doing that in some of my boards. So i use the foil now. Only...
I just use the pool muratic acid. Would have to look to see what % it is. It is see threw also, it turns a blueish color after it gets a bit of copper in it. I also started using a foil that you iron on the toner. It is supossed to give a better seal and added protection with etching. here is a...
Yeah i almost didn't fix it. But after looking at it a couple times i decided why not i need to work on my photoshop skills ( even though i really use Gimp2 ) . Source and drain pins were backwards also , got that squared away. But yeah it was over complicated. No need for a inhibit when your...
Might also be the etch is on the strong side and it is undercutting your traces and pads. I make mine on the weak side and just do other things while it etches. But that will cause pads and traces to come off the board with a quickness. The board looks good. What are you using to etch with? I...
For a .075 hole you are going to want the pad at least .150. If there is no way to make it that big you can make the hole size .080 Then as long as you hit the center your drill bit wont touch the copper ( easier said then done) . The bigger the drill bit = the easyier to rip pads off. You want...
