Yeah i forgot about that a little tap from the rear and something like this could happen
But then again if your not careful the 599 GTo can get away from you and something like this could happen
Id still take the ferrari to work
I installed Xo scope for linux but have not tried it out yet. Need to find a old head set i can cut the wires off of.
xoscope for Linux
EDIT:The signals for the oscilloscope can be internal to the computer (MP3 player, function generator etc.) or from external sources (line-in, microphone). For...
Yeah 0603's are small. I wouldnt even try it without a magnifine glass or what i use is a visor like these
But i am old as hell and dont see quite as good as i did in my younger days. Even so I think you would go blind pretty quick trying to solder those with out one.
I have found that if you have a nice ice cold beer handy it will cool your fingers down really quick in situations like yours. This is why i consider Ice cold beer a necessary mod tool.
I been trying to get the the 555 to work off a P channel mosfet with no luck so far. Supossidly if you...
Yeah that would for sure work.
yes as long as it has the amps to power a atomizer. 2 amps and your good to go 3 amps is even better if you can find one that high. Bad thing is most those chargers are 500mA and thats just not enough to power a atomizer.
Here is my PT
I got me one of these rework stations. Mainly so i can do those pesky chips with the pads on the bottom but the pretty LED read outs were also a plus
Besides that a mini lathe and mill are helpful. Then of course lots of cold beer and some good inspirational tunes like paint my masterpiece...
Variable voltage would have to be the main one for me. Being able to dial in a perfect voltage with what ever juice i happen to be using at the time. Also gives you the ability to change the voltage with the atomizer or carto your using , even when i have have bought a batch of atomizers i will...
Oh you mean those same guys that are lining up to pay the guy that invented the PV in the first place his royalties. I can see that happening:facepalm:
Yeah Rat Shack is over priced for a lot of their stuff unless your lucky and they have a bulk package of what you need. The prices on bulk are usually not too bad. 2 bucks for a 555 that i could get at digikey for 40cents but i have a RS less then a mile from me so it does come in handy at times...
That will for sure charge a couple 18650's in series. The Charge controller is built into the adapter. Wont hurt the charger or regulator to vape off it while charging. But it might kick the charger into overload protection. If that happens it might reset itself or you could possibly have to...
It has a super cap or caps in it. For vaping we would need a pretty big PV .Plus super caps tend to be lower voltages so more then likely going to take two stacked. They also kinda pricey for the bigger ones. I will take a look and see if they have come down in price at all. Maybe i will design...
It would be easy to do. Problem is once you slap a regulator on 5 volts you have to account for Drop out voltage. Even the best LDO reg your going to get around .5 volts of a drop, max output voltage would be 4.5volts. So in the end your not going to get it to go to 5 volts output if you wanted too.
Yeah they discontinued them. When i got mine it was on clearance for cheap i think 19 bucks 24 shipped. That was almost a year ago. I dont know of anything else like it out there. Just did some looking a guy has one on ebay bundled with some other stuff. More then i would want to pay though. I...
Here is a link to the other thread this got switched to and a picture of the 100% USA Home Made Circuit boards I made in my garage.

This is what i did to get 50% adjustment at the top end in 25% of a turn of the pot. Put a Jumper across R2 or eliminate it if your working on a bread board . Take R1 out and slap in a diode pointing towards the pot. Then slap in a 100K pot .
Now the problem is i doubt we want full power out...
