First off AW gives true mah ratings , Trustfire not so much. If you did a real world test the trustfires wont get close to 900mah. You can search some flashlight forums and they do real mah tests on batteries and most of your china made companies lie about the mah.
Two batteries in series...
Welcome to ECF
I think cause Oregon has no regular sales tax , but taxes the hell out cigarettes might be one of the reasons they don't like the idea of folks switching to something non taxable. But that's just a guess i remember when i lived in Oregon smokes were really high. I was close...
IF you press the power button the the PT's with the atomizers on then test for ohms at the USB end of the PT i think you will find the difference in the PT's. Smaller wires start adding resistance to the circuit pretty quick. Running the numbers the pt with the mouse wire and a 1.6ohm atomizer...
After thinking about it sitting here sipping on my beer. I have a USB 2 amp hub , or it is supposed to be anyways. It actually only puts out 1.65 amps fully loaded. If your's is close to being the same you would be ok just making a straight through PT. You could do a load test on your car USB...
Might not be fried. If pin one is grounded it puts the reg to sleep you wont get a output voltage. You also need a resistance between pin 3 and pin 5 that sets the output voltage. If you have no ground going to pin 5 with resistance , in other words if pin 5 is left open i dont think you will...
Needs to be hooked up and fully wired up to test it correctly. Having it off the board without the resistors in place wont tell you much. Not sure you got that chip into a bread board in the first place the pin spacing is tiny. I guess you bent the pins , I think in rare cases bending the pins...
You would need a 10 watt resistor of higher or else it would just fry. Diodes can work but your a slave to the voltage drop of the diode So you might not get as close as you like to 3.7 volts. Two or Three in series should get you kinda close to the ballpark.
The LM317T has a max of 1.5 amps so it might just go into protection mode while vaping. 3.7 volts with a 2ohm atomizer = 1.85 amps. Maybe with a big ... heat sink it will be ok. Other then that there is a PWM circuit in the battery section on the mod forum that you can build with Ratshack parts...
I would take a ohm meter and test for short circuits And also make sure the circuit is complete where it needs to be. For example make sure pin 2 and pin 3 are not making contact also make sure pin 3 and pin 4 are not making contact. Pin 3 to pin 5 should be the resistance of the resistor and...
Oxidation usually wont disappear unless it is rubbing up against something in turn wearing it off or you have some acidic e juice ( I have not encountered any ejuice that has been acidic, So i don't think you have to worry about that)or acidic cleaning chemicals that are will etch it off. But...
Congrats
Took me a bit longer to quit From first PV till quitting was a bit over a month But now i have been smoke free for almost 11 months. Thats just how it goes ,some folks quit right away and some it takes a bit longer.
Whoops i swear i read the first ten then skipped to the end. If i broke any rules it is simple because i was too lazy to read the whole thread. Plus i was a bit busy working on a PWM circuit for a mod i was thinking about building. Maybe if the thread was converted to pictures in stead of words...
Yeah i just had to get me another Samuel Adams , Purely for the flavor enhancement of the vapor might i add. Really need to whip up a Samual Adams E juice flavor. I bet it would make me millions.
Hey atty ,
Pretty sure i turn the 28th or 29th of next month. No applause needed just give me lots of samuel adams beers. I swear i dont use it to get drunk it just helps the taste of the vapor. :)
