Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

I said it wasn't as good as the fev a few times a while back..;) It's not a bad tank, of course it has its pluses and minuses. Probably more pluses for sure. I was disappointed in the oring problem.. The tolerance is so tight there's not much else you can do. Oring has to push through threads...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

Bachelor. Yes I knew that before I bought it.. And been active in the bachelor thread helping people and promoting that technique. . Doesn't matter, time is limited.. One wrong turn and it's ripped/ nicked. I don't have a problem leaking through wicks at all. It's all oring weep. It vapes...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

I'm sorry.. Lol, yeah it's pretty good, had mine a few months, leaks though. Seeps by the base orings cause they tear. Put new set on.. I tried to be careful as possible and second or third time I took apart the oring was torn.. then the ports don't line up with the wicks anymore and it starts...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

I have never found that to be a huge problem. I have never tried to get the correct amount pulled off.. I always start with double width and length of what I need. Heck a full piece for a 3mm coil. Stretch it to even, align, and bring the density down to where you need. It's best to have a...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

Hi spark, welcome back! In the opening posts I have videos posted.. They are all showing an rda deck. Depending on the dripper you can leave a little more in the tails. I'm not quite sure what you mean by feathering with short fibers.. The tails should feather as they thin.. I think what...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

Good to hear Tejas.. Side info.. I was born and raised in Houston.. I just finally got a solid coil with the springy 28g ss430 by doing the old school tricks we used to do.. Make the coil hold legs in position with pliers so it doesn't unravel, then torch(stove), and while red compress with...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

Welcome Ejlv! Welcome to ecf and good on making the Rayon thread your first stop! You can start like that and work from there... Depending how you vape it may work for you. Follow the guidelines in the op and you can wick anything with a few tries. The wick will tell you if it likes your work...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

Hi Laura - Welcome!! None of my recomendations are sterile. It doesn't need to be irradiated for any reason, and it's not a safety concern. Rayon is inherently biological contaminate free. Its cellulose extracted from plants by scientific method. No mites crawling around in here... With all...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

That's been the great thing about rayon it's so cheap people just give it away. I couldn't be happier.. Thanks for spreading the love. My intent has been to make sure it's available, so everyone can try it for themselves.. Can't get any easier than getting it to try free. :) Even the...

After power is applied the metal coil will still retain heat capable of vaporizing the juice.. The heavier the gauge the more heat will be retained, and the more important it is to use all that heat you built up in the coil. The retained heat cooks the juice and increases your gunking. The...

    Eleaf istick 50w Owners Group

While looking for a new mod for a backup or replacent... Sounds crazy, but I'd like another Istick 50.. Nothing else really compares in size comfort battery life and power. Mainly I like that the Istick goes up to 10v so I can run high voltage builds. The battery lasts longer than the evic...

    Nicotine Comparisons

Had to check my own posts to see my reports.. It was WL originally. Then later I said it looked like ecx had some but not as thin as WL.

    Nicotine Comparisons

I do remember that mhertz, good memory! . I was thinking it was WL that I contacted last time though... I had an email from them.. I believe ECX, It's probably a variance in the vg base they are receiving. They took the batch number to check.. I have seen a range of viscosity in vg base as...

    Nicotine Comparisons

Well I do have a lackluster coil in here right now, not enough wraps so it's different than I used to I guess. That can explain the off vape as well... just when I noticed how thin the Nic looked - I probably jumped to conclusions. The sense thats off is like having water in the juice...

    Nicotine Comparisons

Spoke with ECX, they said they add no water to it at all.. I poured it side by side with vg and it's quite a bit thinner. I don't know maybe it's normal and I'm just hyper aware today... Lol. Would the 10% nicotine be what's thinning the vg, didn't think of that... My juices just seem...

    Nicotine Comparisons

Uh.. Geez... Got a liter of ECX's Nic select in 100vg... This is the lightest vg I've ever seen I believe.. This seems to have a lot more water than I expected. Didn't notice this before, maybe over the winter because I was thinning anyway. This looks like it has 15% water.. I'm gonna have...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

It's like rapunzel's hair. Beautiful yes.. Wicking difficult... It's too similar to ramie for me. Stiffens up when wet and very hard to get the right amount in the coil... Its Rayon but its just not the same as carded fibers we use.. Much more user friendly. Some have used it with success...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

It's probably from touching the chamber walls. You typically want to avoid that and have at least a tiny gap. The thing to do is experiment by trimming the dark portions off the wick... Always tinker while it's in use to see the difference. Or lower/ move the coil a tad away from walls next time...
