I sanded mine down to get out the deeper scratches. I think I started with 400 grit and then used finer and finer grits. For the final polish, I use Fabulustre on a buffing wheel. Here's a link:

HA! Nope. No coat. Beautiful trade winds today. Highs will be in the mid 80's. The tropical sun is stalking me though. It's getting closer every day.
