    Official DNA 40 introduction

Nobody? The chip is supposedly the same size so it doesn't make sense on that accord.

    VaporShark rDNA

Just got a reply back from my vapor shark guru. Apparently the battery level is a glitch with the chip itself and the battery meter won't drop until it hits 3.6 volts. I'm going to test this tonight. Let the chain vaping begin.

Color me jealous. I'll give it a day and see if it corrects itself. If not, I guess rma number four is happening. Unreal that the quality control of these is such garbage.

How about your battery meter? Mine was full, pulled the battery, and it read 3.6. That's not cool. I can deal with the screen glitch, but a messed up battery meter is troublesome.

Just noticed that my battery meter doesn't work. Is this another common issue?

    VaporShark rDNA

Well, when one is batting 0/4 that's the thought. lol. I must say, it hasn't happened since. Perhaps a few days in the cold are responsible.

    VaporShark rDNA

Got my rDNA and within the first 10 minutes got the screen glitch. lol. I call bs on those denying that theirs is glitch free. 4th one in a row I've gotten with it. I'm just going to keep it and RMA it in about 4 months because I love the temp control. Hopefully they have their schit...

I'm pretty sure they offloaded most of their stock to vendors so they could concentrate on RMA units. This is why all the vendors have stock.

Warning: Smok m-80 defect = near horror story

Mines working great. I've been running it at 75-80 watts the whole time as well. For the price I'm loving it.

    DNA 40, NR, Nickel Builds

    Anyone try twisting 28 gauge?

I just wrap it around my precision screwdriver. I'm guessing somewhere in between 2-3mm. I just took it and push it together a few times, so yes, being nickel, it's barely spaced.

I've always just used a 28 gauge nickel, 8-10 wrap coil and have never had problems. Heck, I only rewick about twice a month.

    Official DNA 40 introduction

No, but the ones in production fixed the issue. Now it should just be the jumbled screens and janky battery meters that are courtesy of evolv.

    Official DNA 40 introduction

Just rolled the dice on the Smok Gimlet. If it's decent I'll be happy. Replaceable coils are only 16 bucks a 5 pack. Hcigar makes one now. I've seen group buys as low as 86 bucks.

    Mod set on fire!

Yihi has budget chips as well. I think the sx 350 chip is the best on the market. When you sit back and look at the big picture you realize that all electronics have a chance of catching fire. I had a Macbook that went up in smoke. All budget chips are budget chips for a reason. Tolerances...

    VaporShark rDNA

I actually just ordered from sweet-vapes yesterday and USPS tracking says it's on schedule for delivery this Monday. It's actually sitting in a city 40 minutes from me right now. If only I had ordered Thursday. lol

How's the temp control on that?
