It's hard to argue with success, but metal in the microwave???
Well, this made me Google since you are doing it and not reporting any visits from your fire department or the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Here's what this web page had to say about it:
"Q: If I put a fork in the...
I'm pretty sure you want everyone to disconnect from the power first.
:-)
I had the same problem. I chalked it up to occasionally putting an 808 carto on the 901 Riva, and doing that maybe pushing the center post of the battery down into the shell. After all, I don't think they were made to...
cr12,
You do know that all attys don't have any wicks directly under the bridge, don't you? But, I do have one that does.
Just FYI if you didn't know.
Tim
OH! You're inserting the spring in the cartridge lengthwise, smonomo. The first time I read your post I didn't get that. OFC! That should work on any cartridge. I bet you can get a fair amount more juice in it, too, and fill less often. And the juice is going to have one hell of a time...
Don,
I too apologize for not getting back sooner.
This might help you salvage a couple of those sticks. What do you have to lose?
Here's a pic of the RS808D-1 taken apart to help me make sense below.
I dropped one of my RS808's the other day after my first message to you, and...
For the one I thought I screwed up, I pushed the whole innards down tight into the shell. It's working better now.
I'll probably try this bridge removal mod again sometime, but probably not until I have an atty that I know is completely dead or foul tasting and won't come back to life with a...
Wouldn't that be defeating the present, non-burning ability of the manufacturer's wick. I thought that ability was one of the things that made everyone so hot (no pun intended) for these in the first place -- but I'm a n00b, so what do I know.

champions,
Travis at Vapor Junction at this link has stock of Stainless Steel E2's as I write this and they are all 3.0 Ω. Coupon code ECF10 gets 10% discount. I believe he currently is charging $5.56 for USPS priority shipping. The site shows the shipping and the coupon discount before...
Bad,
I haven't tried the PTB mod on the CE2's yet. The little woman is going to buy some Pyramid Tea today on her weekly shopping trip.
Are you still cutting off the wick as you showed in your DJbizzum's Channel PTB E2 Mod video? Is that video still all accurate otherwise, too?
Thx...
LOL. I just read that. What do they say about great minds? OTOH, 2 X 0 = 0. LOL Just kidding.
I agree with you 100%, GenMan. No wick is going to pull any liquid out of a partial vacuum, even if the vacuum is only a very, very small percent of an atmosphere.
Also, a VERY SMALL...
Bad,
If you don't mind possibly wasting a tank, I'd like to suggest you put a small hole in the top (mouth end) of one simply to relieve what I believe to be a vacuum being created in the tank once wicking starts. ofc, that is going to possibly allow the tank to leak, but I'm staying to try...
I can't see how the tank itself isn't going to have a small vacuum in it as the juice wicks out, and somewhat of a vapor lock, preventing more juice from wicking easily, unless the tank is more like a collapsible bladder then it appears to be. It doesn't take much of a vacuum to prevent...
Katya,
You ware talking about Vapor Junction.
Weird you say that, cause he only charges me $5.56 shipping, and I get a 10% discount with the coupon code ECF10. It's figured automatically when you place your order, so maybe his computer likes me better.

Update.
I think I screwed it up. It's lose at the bottom in there now and the whole thing doesn't get as red as before, just the middle area with the coil. Maybe something is a bit different with the Cisco LR atty, or maybe I got too aggressive. So, take my experience with a grain of salt...
