    Brand new gleeming coil lots of anticipation and then you hit it for the first time and its such a let down . until you get it to start to flavor up and then it gets better. short answer new coils need to be run in before they get good . I like coils once the aquire some flavor.

    you could always do Parallels they give a lot of surface area . and ramp up pretty fast compared to a single coil with twice the amount of wraps. ie same amount of wire.

    are we talking about the Boreas or some other atty, as you say it could not be center wicked . the air comes in at the sides, but you say the center, if you externally wicked it, you would be sucking air through wet wicked cotton. I think you are talking about another atty as you lost me .

    no problem I just asked as ive always done it on all my regs and not had a problem. I am very careful tho not to get my mods wet . on some of my real bad gunked coils ie clappys and parallels it does take a few goes to get them all nice and spiffy again . Its worth it to get that flavor back.

    why not on a regulated mod. I do it on all my mods you are only just putting the coil under the dripping tap and NOT THE MOD. just take a little extra care not to get ya mod wet . The dry burn GLOW and QUENCH method is ok to use on KANTHAL and STAINLESS BUT NOT ON ALL WIRES as some should...
