have you tried a 6mm id coil
all i can say is WOW
Did this just for kicks and giggles but it vaped fantastic .
i modded an atty for science for single coils and it works great .
just had to try out a super massive coil and it was fun vaped 6ml of juice in a couple of mins .
it works...
if you read the first post in this thread its all explained
there are a couple of ways to remove the post you do this at your own risk
1st is to use a 3mm drill bit use the blunt end and remove the 510 center screw from atty and use the drill bit placed in the hole and gently tap and the pin...
Two posts on one side i only put the 3.5 mm coil in it because it was on the shelf ready and waiting .
with it set-up like this i like a 4.5mm id coil but the 3.5 was there so in it went .
I do like dual coils but i find with fresh coils a single will flavor up quicker than duals.
i used to be exactly the same love them dual vert clappys but i am realy liking this single vert clappy
its a 3.5mm id 26-32 awg 8 wrap vert 1.3 Ohm and great @ around 30-35 watts
i have an Aromamizer that ran with dual 26/32 clappys and it vapes fine at 30 watts
the first couple of pulls are average but claptons hold their heat so once you get them running they vape very well and lots of vapor and flavor
dual claptons 26-32 awg 5 wrap 3mm id 0.36 Ohms
run @ 30 watts...
a good easy build for lots of cloud and flavor is a parallel build
take a small length of your 26 awg around 8 inches of wire fold it in half and squeeze the fold with pliers and then add 2 or 3 tight twists at that end then wrap the wire around your drill bit or coil rod .
while wrapping the...
its a great atty and yes it will vape 100 percent VG when wicked correctly
i also do not understand when some say its not got great flavor as it has great flavor
am still running this mod and i love it
great vapor production and good on juice
works real well in single coil mode
rewicked or rebuilt and rewicked quick due to just one coil
half the fun of vaping is modding stuff to your liking
get an Aromamizer and mod it to do single coil like this
its vapes realy well and good on juice depending on coil size and power used
if you still want lots of clouds and guzzle juice it can still be done like this
if used sensibly with coils upto 4 and 4.5mm its a very nice vape and does...
sorry for the bad pic here is one of my velocity RDA's as you can see in the pic i leave the insulator bush in place and just rotate the post as the base is milled and the bush sits in a recess , so if you rotate both bush and post when you snug the center pin screw up it wants to pull the bush...
I See a lot of ideas for single coil setups in this RDTA .
here is my take on it if anyone is interested i have posted a thread detailing what to do.
its very easy and you can mod it if you want to like i did but not needed if you run a smaller coil and lower watts.
not sure it this is how to...
Well if ya wanna chuck it in this direction im good with that LOL
It would be great to try stuff out before release i am all for that and posting tips and tricks to help each other out is what its all about on these forums.
I did have 2 of the originals but a friend kinda stole my spare so i...
I dont think they realy interested as they get lots of people mail them with ideas etc .
All they would need to do is add the extra juice hole and a blanking shim to the kit and it would be so much more versatile for dual and single coils .
I have been vaping mine for a while now in this...
I thought this would have had a lot more response as i read so many posts with users looking for single coil options on RTA's & RDA's and this also works with the velocity RDA and some others with velocity style decks.
maybe one of the mods could move this thread to the RTA section or rebuild...
sorry i just dont get the frying pan thing
you can do lots more damage with a cast iron skillet
and it will not bend or break so re-usable again and again
when i first tried it without blocking off the almost covered juice holes under the post .
i had the 6mm id vertical coil in it and the wick was sucking the juice up so fast i could almost count the draws it took to drain the first tank it was basicaly flooding and the wick was almost keeping...
Thank You all
Just wanted to share my findings big coils and thick wicks are pretty cool and loads of vapor etc.
I realy just wanted share the single coil aspect of this type of deck , i have built between the posts horizontal and vertical but you are limited to the gap between the posts ...
