I use both as well, just depends on my mood and I also cant tell the difference. I have sat there going back and forth trying to find a difference and could not....I could just be my taste buds, but I honestly doubt if you had 2 exact tanks, juice, etc and properly wicked both that one could...- vapdivrr

2.5mm is a great size , sort of in the middle. Some mtl vapors use 2mm and some 3mm (which is sometimes a bit to big in some mtl rtas) less cotton, more rewicking? Not sure it works like that, but actually never thought of it like that. I really doubt there's going to be any noticable difference... -

You can do 2 things with thinner wire coils and rayon. One is to roll the wick in palms first, making like a proper kind of wick (sort of like a candle wick) once its formed you can thread it . Once you have a little thru the coil , pull the short end while kind of screwing in the other side...- vapdivrr

I have to look, but that might have been rayon. If so its usually a little different in wick amounts that I use with cotton , so was thinking of doing one with cotton because most dont use rayon....I will look , perhaps it's close enough....if it was cotton, I'm not sure how to pull out that... -

The prime has multiple af holes so it can be opened more, but still considered a mtl rta. The kayfun 5 or kayfun squared are definitely more restrictive dtl rtas. In those you can install slightly bigger coils and because of that do better at higher wattages. There are many such rtas like the... -

Is the deck section tight to base? You know on these the deck screws into the base, so I guess its possible that it's not fully tightened. Once off you can also check to see if the post to block is tight, but if both the 22 and 24 have the same issue, it's unlikely that both have loose... -

Its usually light amounts of cotton in the tails, so adding a bit more might do it...also can be juice from the wick (the wick as it exits the coil ) this part of the cotton gets pressed against the coil legs and juice can like travel down that wire and settle on the deck....so you kind of need... -

I also like the suggestions for a mtl pod system of even better a set up like the zenith or nautilus tanks with higher nic , lower power, and not as much vapor...saying that, I still believe you are going to cough, most everyone does, but with higher nic, a small puff goes a long way and will...- vapdivrr
