    I thought the battery had some additional protection circuity as well as additional colors on the LED to indicate charge. Is that not the case? I was thinking about picking up an eGo-C battery just for the charge indicator but if thats not standard I may change my mind on that purchase.

    +1 Agreed 100%. I am a EE by degree so I have a couple of these laying around anyway. I find myself regularly checking the resistance of new carts and the voltage on my batteries. Definitely useful for a sanity check, also identified some mis-labelled cartos this way.
