Yep, did that. I just think my other meter isnt precise enough on the resistance measurement, its more geared toward current and voltage measurement. I noticed the old pocket sears one auto adjusts for mega and kilo so its better suited for ohm measurements, whereas my other one appears to...
I tried out the old Sears DMM I had in my workbag and it appears to be closer to the advertised measurements. CE2s are measuring at 2.6 vs 3.1 (labeled 2.6-2.8) and the DCT is measuring 1.5 vs 1.7 (labeled 1.5).
I am a week into those stardusts. Broke one attempting to take it apart because i accidentally ripped the wick out adjusting it. The other one is about cracked through. I am not impressed in the least bit...a lot of hype, HUGE disappointment. I expect more than a week out of a $6 clearo.
When you say out the metal connector, are you talking the air hole? I am familiar with the CE2s not the CE4s but maybe if I understand a little more about where/how its leaking I can help.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: This stuff will for sure gunk up your coils fast, but its sooooooooo good. I use CE2s so I am just use to dryburn cleaning them regularly.
Thanks for the suggestions. What caused me to head in this direction is the fact that a 1.5ohm DC cartomizer is registering as 1.7ohm (which I understand can be considered within manufacturing tolerances) and my CE2s which are supposed to be 2.6-2.8ohm are registering as 3.1ohm. My multimeter...
The to do or not to do debate on 1.5 DCs with eGos is killing me. I do not have enough information either way to give an educated opinion on the topic but I would really love to know some facts about the eGo batteries. On ECF I frequently see folks saying DO NOT and the other half says DO...
When I vape before bed I have some crazy ones. I would never ever want one of those sleep psychologists to try to translate any of them, I am afraid of the truth :)
This is one of my regular vapes andI cannot get enough of it. I really like this one, and if someone knows of a better one than this I would love to try it.
At this point I really do not trust my multimeter at lower resistances, its simply not appear to have much precision at the resistances that cartos and atomizers are. I was curious, what multimeter/ohmmeters are some of you guys using that are yielding accurate readings at lower resistances?
If you don't do the modding and just try to do it as is, you have a 50/50 chance of getting that yuck burnt taste. I highly recommend one of the many modding procedures (especially the one I mentioned that I use) to ensure you don't have that happen. I have a little baggie full of those lower...
You can try a dry burn which only requires you to slightly lift that rubber cup / brass gasket away from the coil and then push it back down when done.
One of mine is still going like a champ with menthol juice. The other one had a burnt taste from the get go that I temporarily got rid of with a dry burn, but eventually came back. I have since destroyed it trying to take it apart (which started by accidentally yanking out the wick attempting...
I 2nd zoiDman's recommendation to keep them upright if you leave them sit. I do have the occasional one that will slightly leak on me (more like a small drip) so when I carry them with me I just make sure to keep one of those cartomizer condoms on the bottom of the ones not in use. I have...
