    Rochester area chit-chat

Hey Andy, I didn't know you were going to be there. Too bad I didn't get to meet you. Was that because you were only at the "other" fest? I was at Vapefest.

    Genisis / Kronos Update

The G-Tank US has been pending about 6 months, and still no sure end in sight, with the exception of about 20 to 25 units whose parts fit together and could be sent out a while back. You don't see people coming down on Dan, or berating him for biting off "more than he could chew" - and...

Nicotine may promote heart & blood vessel disease?

Stubby, I certainly wasn't saying that smokeless tobacco products were "risky". (In referring to the oral cancer risk from chewing tobacco, I said it was "much lower" than from smoking, and I even said "to the extent this risk exists"). I also specifically said that snus and dissolvables had...

FDA draft guidance on modified risk tobacco

Potentially. But not unless and until the FDA goes through the lengthy process of promulgating a final regulation "deeming" e-cigs to be "tobacco products" that are subject to the authority of the FDA as granted in the FSPTCA (Chapter IX of the FDCA). See, Regulation of E-Cigarettes and Other...

Hey Gary, I just saw your post. I've been debating whether to bring food or snacks too. Or to just rely on the overpriced stuff they sell on the train. The good thing is that since much of the travel will be at night, both ways, we won't need as much in the way of foodstuffs as we would...

Nicotine may promote heart & blood vessel disease?

Health risks from tobacco use can scientifically and fairly be placed on a continuum. Combusted products are at the end of the continuum with the highest risk of all, as it is the inhalation of smoke, and ALL of its toxic byproducts, that for the most part causes disease and ultimately death. At...

TVECA demonizes mods, claims they aren't e-cigarettes

Roly, ~Zen anticipated you on this. You may not be aware of this, but his House of Hybrids Zenesis model has already been dubbed an "APV", or "Advanced Personal Vaporizer". I don't remember the first time this terminology appeared in his thread, but here's a post from February 7th where it...

House of Hybrids featuring the Zenesis PV

Actually, the limit is each bottle (of whatever kind of liquid), can be up to 3 ounces (really 3.4 oz.) And, you can have as many bottles as will fit in that ONE quart size, zipper baggie. Here's the rule on the TSA site: TSA | Transportation Security Administration | 3-1-1 on Air Travel

    Bulli A2-T

Yep, we're on the same wavelength - when I responded to your post it felt kind of like talking to an old friend I hadn't seen in a while. :)

    Bulli A2-T

LOL. You'll probably not be able to change your coil while doing that - but you should love your Bulli for many other reasons anyway! I've used nothing but my Bullis for months now, and will never go back to regular atomizers.

ePipeMods.com Fully Custom Made Wood E-Pipes

Dirquist, at least I won't be the one to take yours, I think. My tastes run to the more standard shapes - saw a few in the end of the video that attracted me. You saw yours in the photos here, right?

I don't remember if I was already there when you showed up, or it was the reverse - but I distinctly remember talking to you two outside as well, before the gathering inside got going.

It is IMPORTANT to Vape in PUBLIC

In the text in the "Experimental" column, RL is explained as the "reportable limit". So yes, essentially below the limit of detection, or as the poster puts it, the limit of "quantification".

It is IMPORTANT to Vape in PUBLIC

Sailorman and WV, Laugesen has some newer studies available to refer to now as well. This poster was presented at the Society of Toxicology meeting in San Francisco, on March 14, 2012: http://www.healthnz.co.nz/News2012SOTposter1861.pdf And IVAQS is being readied for submission for publication...

Seems like you ought to be able to find some guy or guys to share a room with at the Hyatt. I know Spike has offered to have people contact her to be connected up with others wanting to room share (via her NVC email address).

Yeah, the timing is perfect for those leaving from our area. From Rochester, leaving at 11:00 pm Friday night, arriving at 9:45 Saturday morning. Then leaving Chigaco at 9:30 pm Sunday night, arriving at Rochester shortly after 10:00 am on Monday. (Rat, you would be in Buffalo by just after 9:00...

Cool! Then we can all make our way out to the Hyatt Airport for the fest together. Better than the van, IMO, as no one has to drive. :D I saw that there's a subway train we can catch directly to the Airport, leaving only two blocks from the Amtrak station in downtown Chicago.
