    I don't do it with heat. Just warm to semi hot water, but mostly it's the vibration, that's like shaking it for an hour. And I can assure you it does work. I do it all the time.

    Damn there's no way I can use the ring with my IGO unfortunately. Something is screwy somewhere along the way. I suspect the center pin on my Provari probably sits lower than both of yours. *pout* (see the pic I posted a few up which shows how little gap I have with no ring)
