Excellent atty. Top shelf, for sure. Almost as good as the Velocity. Integrated drip tip is REMatty meh. But the machining is typical VLS Vulcan-like perfection.

"And then spank me." "And spank me." "And me." "And me." Sorry. Old Monty Python Fan. I love how passionate Tom is about what he does. Waiting patiently for my CAM-M. The pink one with unicorns and puppies and kitties.

Catfish Atty Mods the next Chapter

Tom, you can paint this thing pink with unicorns and puppies and kitties if you like. I don't care, I'm sure it will still hit like a beast and work like a charm. Waiting patiently for mine.

    The end of microcoils?

You can get the same color by heating for a long time at a low temperature or for short time at a high temperature. Oxides this thin are easily damaged, in which case they can allow a short.

    The end of microcoils?

Oh please. Do tell. Never mind. I really don't want to know. The point is, scientific falsehoods have no place in a discussion about the safety of vaping. This is too important. People need facts to make intelligent decisions , and they shouldn't be obscured by fabrications.

    The end of microcoils?

"In some cases like kanthal, a "light" heat treatment can be beneficial, but a longer heat treatment can eliminate the oxide protection layer." "In principle, hexavalent chromium formation requires a higher temperature than 1000 Celsius degrees, but without scientific data, we cannot exclude...

    The end of microcoils?

When patents expire, drugs get marketed as generic clones. Profits of the original maker plummet. Best to have them approved for over the counter and market a high profile brand, advertise the crap out of it, dominate the market for a few years, and milk that succulent stream of cash for a few...

    The end of microcoils?

Big Pharma pretty much does whatever it likes.

    The end of microcoils?

Sick coils. In any case, if the oxide film shows these brilliant rainbow colors, the thickness is less than one micrometer. Thicker thermal oxide scales all just look gray, with varying degrees of roughness.

Quick question: is this a titanium coil or a Kanthal/Nichrome coil or some crazy hybrid?

    The end of microcoils?

Ah, addiction. What a fascinating subject. Which is more powerful: physical addiction or psychological addiction? I've walked away from nicotine three times in my life for more than 10 years each time. And for me it really wasn't very difficult - cold turkey each time. But each time, the memory...

    The end of microcoils?

Broad agreement here. Thermal oxidation of titanium forms a continuous protective oxide layer at very thin film thicknesses - easily less than one micrometer. Given what we currently know about corrosion due to e-liquids at low temperatures (400F is low for oxidation-resistant high temperature...

Dual 26/34 gauge Claptons - dry burned, doused in water and lightly dry burned, wicked with JOC, soaked with unflavored PG/VG, a single vape, then painted with naturally-extracted-tobacco.com Flue-Cured Virginia, ready to go. This is where I joined this thread. Forty two pages later, nothing's...

    A SMPL Explosion.

It is made in the USA (matters to me). It's elegant - the perfect embodiment of a tube mod. The machining is flawless (mine is, anyway). The fire button is a buttery smooth work of art.

    A SMPL Explosion.

Putting your safety in the hands of a Chinese regulated mod manufacturer instead of the laws of physics and your own common sense is a choice. I use both regulated and unregulated mods, but I try to keep their limitations in mind when doing so.

    The end of microcoils?

I'm pretty much convinced that, at least for my vaping equipment and style, it's pretty much ALL about the liquids. Undoubtedly there are some additions that should not be allowed, or at least there should be mandatory warnings that they are present, and what risk they present. Yeah, firing up...

    The end of microcoils?

This issue is one where I respect Dr. F's opinion. Testing could be a huge burden for artisanal e-liquid suppliers, but a single detailed study could go a long way to increasing understanding. Having said that, there are a lot of ""manufactured" additions" that I wouldn't want in my e-liquid...
