I was just perusing UKVapors a second ago to see what they were doing with battery mods...haha. Welcome!

What's up with calling an ecig an "analog"?

Haha, that reminds me. I'm in the Navy, and when our new camos came out, we started calling them digis, because of the 8-bit digital print. After that, sailors started calling the old uniforms (utilities and dungarees) "analogs". Mostly the definition of analog has nothing to do with it. It's...

Oh the early days. Well, I haven't come that far yet...

My ignorant first attempt at creating my own mod. This was before I discovered the forum though...

What are you waiting for in the mail?

Haha, since discovering this forum, I realize I'm not the only one excited to receive mail. This is where I heard it coined "vapemail" first! I'm waiting for: A pack of clearomizers, assorted hardware, syringes and Dekang RY4 from MadVapes E-liquid from V2 (my last order, they take to long to...

    Day 4-Cost calculations

Day 4! This is good because the first three days are supposed to be the hardest and most stressful for the quitter to survive. It's a little different this time though, as I'm still on the nic. About 11-12mg. My plan is, once I get all my vapemail and can start mixing, I'll be able to wean...

Comment by 'SneakyVapper' in 'Day 3-Good day to keep living'

It's so true! I tried nic patches and gum, but if you try them and fail, your not supposed to try them again. Basically if they fail once they'll fail every time. Besides, I haven't found a method until now that satisfies that "hand to mouth" like an ecig.

Day 3-Good day to keep living

I figure this would be the best way to document my progress. There's so much I'd wish I'd kept track of. Like...how much money did I used to spend on analogs and how much am I saving now? Or what have I learned along the way? Well, I'll start with my history. I've smoked roughly a pack a day...

    Flavor bragging!

This is actually not a bad idea. Keeping track of all the liquids you've tried and maybe rating them by flavor/throat hit/vapor for your own future reference? By looking at this I see trends...favorite flavors, companies, what not...

    Iphone app for DIY mixing

OK...I really like my apps. I found an "eJuice" app for my iphone and it looks like a winner. It has a calculator, recipes, and links to stores and communities. Can any veterans tell me if you've tried it and what you think?

Anyone tried Madvapes juice? If so, like?

I tried a couple flavors. Sorry, but in my honest opinion each and every one was gross. I threw them out but I remember two of the flavors were vanilla and raspberry. They were super perfumey tasting even after seeping.

Genuine vanilla extract in an e-juice?

I tried vanilla extract out of curiousity and because I've heard it works. It actually tastes the same as it tastes, not as it smells. With a slight burnt aftertaste. I didn't try mixing it though, just straight up with a VG base. Yuck.

    Anybody prefer dripping?

I pretty much started dripping right off the bat! Problem is, it's not so easy to drip sometimes. (Like while driving.) Dripping is a constant process. I'm in the process of trying different clearomizers and tanks now.

what are these black specs in my tank?!

I've found black gunk in my connections before, but I only noticed it after I started learning to drip. I chalked it up to juice that burnt up when it leaked through the atty. After a bit of research, found that using VG has a higher chance of burning up your atty than PG. Don't know how true...

One last thing, box of cigs cost only $5. It's another story out in town, but we don't have to pay sales tax so cigs are actually pretty cheap.

It's terrible, I know, but I think I've spent about $400 in the last 2 months on all the supplies I need to have a sizable stash. I'm OK with that though, because I'd spend the same on analogs. I figure that once my stash is built up, the expense should taper down. The only purchases I've been...

I'm an a military base, so mail is unpredictable. It has to go through customs, and customs hates batteries. It took me about 9 weeks to get my last package. I started modding for necessity, figured out how to make a 3.7V battery mod that ran off of AAAs instead of that weird laptop battery I...

Hello, I started vaping about a year ago, and was always wondering how my commercial ecig worked. After doing some research, I stumbled into an entire community of vaping enthusiasts and hobbyists. Holy vapes batman! Anyway, getting vape mail overseas has become a pain; I couldn't get commercial...
