    If the pin is too long on one side and it cannot go far enough in the direction of tighteing it needs to, you could try to judge how far you need it for the opposite side, then when you unscrew it enough for the opposite side turn the lock button until the slotted end is down :)

    Ok well I had the same thing happen as what you described. Bottom position it would fire but top position was intermittent firing. What I did to get this working was tightening the screw attached to the switch spring post all the way tight without over-wrenching it. Solved my issue completely...
