    All I can say is, once you start using mods with 4.5 volts and greater, any less is disappointing. But that's my opinion. 5 volts and up are best.

    The tranformer is a 1300mA universal adapter set at 4.5v. It's made by POWERLINE. It also has a power port for the USB passthru. The mod the for the car was a 5v cell phone car charger. Both have been working great for a couple of weeks now.
