It is my understanding that the nickel plating is much more conductive than anodized. That is why we did not go that route. But for a more technical explanation you will have to contact N8T. -

I know titanium would be pretty sweet but if we ever come out with a different alpha it would most likely be stainless steel. The ss would be quite a bit more expensive than the standard alphas, but titanium would be incredibly more expensive than even the ss would be. I suppose when we get to... -

It is possible that someday there will be a stainless steel version of the Alpha. But nowhere in the near future. Right now our main focus is just to keep all the parts in stock as they are selling like crazy. -

Yeah if you have a vapemate attached I dont think you would want to get too far outside your house. That setup is definitely for being in one spot. There is no way I would take that for a night out. But it does look like a prime movie watching setup. -
