It's also possible that your son might not have as much trouble sliding the battery sleeve. You could always give it to him and see if it works good for him before getting a different main body. Yeah the first time I saw the wick strands down in there I threw my atty away and got a new one because I thought there was something wrong with it. Then I noticed that all of them have it. I always take it out before I use any atty. Maybe its because I use the RES but I find there is no need... -
306 Drip Tip Compatibility?
The regular one works fine. Your lips get pretty close to the device but not so close that you are squishing them against it to get a good draw. It's just a fraction shorter than a 510 with a drip tip. -

306 Drip Tip Compatibility?
A 306 with a delrin drip tip will work. If the delrin is the same thing as pyrex or at least the same size then yes it fits. I actually use a LR 306 with my UltraMax and UltraLite and I think it is miles above a 510. Just my two cents. -

Between 1-2 hours, and thats a rough estimate. Like you said there are a few factors that it can depend on. They only have 200 mah though so they generally wont last too long. We mainly brought them in for people who like to use HV only sometimes. We figure if you are going to be vaping at HV...- Slo Ryd

PG vs VG in ultramax question
The Ultra series were designed around 100% VG juices, which are a lot thicker than PG liquids. So if you use primarily PG liquid you should have no problems at all wicking with the UltraMax.
