    LR attys and battery life ?

    Hi Liv2Ski, one interesting note...now that I am using a LR 510...I noticed my draws are a LOT shorter...where I used to fire and hit for a long time on a normal resistance, now I hit really fast since the LR performs so well. I wonder if this would balance the battery life some? ice

    Dang it, blew a Tornado-T LR atty at its very first 10 second dry burn, LRs that sensitive?

    I think LRs are highly sensitive to dry burns, and manufacturer's usually say don't dry burn them. As well, 10 seconds seems pretty long! I typically dry burn my regular resistance attys at 4-5 seconds and that makes them bright orange, then let off, and dry burn more. I don't dry burn my LR...
