More than likely not - not directly as a result of my disappointment with the original griffin. I've gone back to solely using RDA's and I am also delving further down the mechanical mine shaft. No leaking to worry about and all together a much more satisfying vape I find :)
I often try new...
Griffin RTA - I wanted to like it so much, but I couldn't get over how restrictive the airflow was. That and no matter what build I put in it the drip tip would heat up to roughly the same temperature as the sun...
As the title suggests really.
I check my batteries after a full charge and they all tend to come off the charger at 4.22 / 4.24.
Is this safe? (I was planning to use these batteries on a mech mod but have held off until I find out the answer to this question)
Incidentally the batteries I am...
I've never seen a vaper have the chance to explain why these things happen on the news, thats actually quite refreshing to see!
As for the dad saying the son didn't modify it, well he didn't use it with a device it was intended to be used with, ergo, he wasn't using it safely.
It seems like a nice mod to me, I have only used it a couple of times but I do like it :)
I'm just getting used to building for mechs, I've had to take a step back down from my claptons / alien claptons. I didn't consider the ramp up time on a single 18650! Got a pair of 8 wrap parallel 26g...
The 510 top cap, I haven't and probably wont use the hybrid cap.
Hybrids aren't for me, I decided that a while back. I've only recently started using mechs anyway but I've had no issues so far, my builds are solid, my battery safety is good, I check and re-check things often. Just taking things...
This is the bit I find quite irritating, we could further educate ourselves if we had this information. I actually have a Phantom mod and I've been eyeing it suspiciously ever since I started reading this thread.
It's really annoying because I was using it this morning with good batteries and a...
Genuine question here, are most of these "mod exploded in persons face / pocket" incidents relating to hybrids? Or to put it another way - people using hybrids without using an atomiser with protruding centre pin?
Agree 100%, it's a mixture of irresponsible sales and a lack of knowledge on the part of the user.
Battery safety is the key, well that and the builds people use.
I agree, I have witnessed a shop keeper refuse to sell a noisy cricket to 2 lads when they couldn't tell him what ohms law was. Which was kind of great to see to be honest!
But how many refused customers will just go online and buy it anyway without educating themselves?
"We absolutely need product standards. For instance, they shouldn't explode in your mouth," Hagen said.
No they shouldn't, not if you're using them properly at least...
Actually, it may be a bit premature for me to say that. I have only just started using mechs, buy boy have I done my research...
Sorry to hear of your struggles, but you are obviously making positive steps which I commend you for!
Take each day as it comes and don't beat yourself up if you do need a smoke.
I recently came out of rehab and admittedly have a bit of a new lease for life, but boy things were rough for a...
Get the smallest philips head you have, put a thin rubber band over the end and unscrew.
The rubber fills the gap in the head of the grub screw and creates enough friction that the screw should come out with ease.
Must have done this a dozen times, works every time :)
Thanks, not only that but wouldn't a hot spring be counter productive on a bottom button mod, surely if it collapsed it would complete the circuit wouldn't it??
