    I'd add an ohm meter to that list, I know they aren't as accurate as some mods these days but it is nice to have an extra point of reference, that's a personal preference though :)

    To be honest I've found the easiest way to tell if something is a clone before seeing it is by the price! If you are in a shop and have the product in your hand it normally isn't too hard to spot a clone, the finish is generally not as good, gaps where there shouldn't be, burrs, machine marks...

    Personally I'd go authentic, I certainly wouldn't get anything from eBay, but that's because I got burned (not literally) buying from eBay before. I think you will always take a certain level of risk when buying a clone. Just my opinion though :)

    You haven't peeled the backing paper off the sticker, you've just ripped it. But it is fixable :) Try to separate a corner using tweezers and peel away gently, you'll find it should peel away. This happened to me as well!

    Cut the tip off a rubber glove finger and stretch it over the base. Worked for me :)

    Tip - wrap them round the battery horizontally rather than putting them on vertically, that way whichever way you stick the battery in the tape shows through the battery vent :)
