    Sandy, one way to (more) safely get a horse used to a vehicle, or whatever, that uses the road, is to follow it. It lets the horse feel more in control, as it is moving away from her, and she can become accustomed to it, without feeling like it is going to "get" her. Works with quarter horses...

    Sandy, the portrait of Willie is very nicely done--It shows his age and dignity (I've always thought that aged horses that are well cared-for have a kind of solemn dignity and grace) without showing his infirmities. His human should find it comforting and reassuring, as well as lovely.
