Sandy, my most enduring idea of "Spring" is looking through the winter-bare woods, and seeing the white of the dogwoods, in amongst all the bare branches. Dogwood blooms are the first harbingers of Spring in the South. I didn't know that they were rare, in the northern states.- CatLady007
